fine choice - Edit
Kaffa is a fine choice for Ethiopian food. We enjoyed our dinner here, especially with the gluten free injera.

great lunch spot - Edit
The owner is super sweet and you really get the feel that you're at her house and she's making you dinner. The food was very good but I wish there were more options!
Pros: well priced, healthy

Unique flavors - Edit
We've eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants and this one was a bit different in the flavor profile, with a mix of spicy and mild dishes. We really enjoyed the meal and the injera may be the best we've ever had.
Pros: Delicious injera, Great food, Quick service
Cons: Modest decor, Only 3 tables

straightforward and yummy! - Edit
I can only echo everyone else here: food is simple, great, awesome. Place is tiny: only three tables! Proprietor is super friendly. We will be making this a regular stop.

Delicious, simple and great value - Edit
Kaffa is delicious, well-made Ethiopian food in a really friendly environment. Went for dinner on the way home from work and was greeted warmly and seated immediately. We ordered the large plate ($12) that included four different items including spicy red lentils, sautéed kale and onions, and mixed stewed vegetables and we added on one each of the day's samosas ($2 each). The samosas had a perfectly flaky exterior and well-seasoned fillings and the red lentils were so good we said we'd ask for a whole plate of them on our next visit.
The location is a short walk from the Ashby BART station. Worth a visit!
Pros: Excellent Food, Friendly Staff, Great Value

Small place, great food, friendly service! - Edit
Food is good and well-proportioned. The dishes are personal, you share the injera only, which worked well for my wife and I (I'm horrible at sharing).
There were three dishes - small, medium, large - each with additional kinds of servings.
Overall, a great meal in a casual setting! We'll make sure we'll go there again!
