Food: top notch. The pasta tasted fresh and everything about my pasta was house made and you can taste it. My wife’s miso eggplant was perfect. She wishes she had more noodles to go with it was her only complaint.
Conclusion: this place is now in our restaurant rotation since going vegan in May.

Wonderfully delicious food with inventive options. The server was delightful despite being on her own to host, serve, and make drinks for the whole restaurant. I’d happily go back and try everything on the menu. I’d love to eat the French onion soup again and the miso eggplant and lemon cake. Yum!!

Very nice atmosphere and server was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. 100% vegan menu. I had the “steak” and it was delicious. Tasted like beef roast and had the same texture. I was surprised. The “escargot” was out of this world! Made with mushrooms and the flavors were amazing! Chocolate cake was divine and so moist. Will definitely be back.

I’m blown away by how good dinner was here. Brunch was good but dinner was better. We enjoyed the caprese salad, mushroom “escargot” and hold onto your hat because the stand out was a creamy carrot soup. Our party ordered a second to share it was so dang good.

Read moreWe started with the Shitake ‘Escargots’ — WHOA, this is decadence with each bite! I’ve never had ‘real’ escargot, but it could not have been better than what chef served. I’ll be dreaming of this dish for some time.
Second was the ‘Cheese’ Board for Two, with bread, assorted crackers, candied walnuts, grapes, mango chutney, and various house-made vegan cheeses & spreads. Each one better than the next (my fav: was the herbed spread & walnut pâté). Just take care with the ‘cheddar jack’ — sometimes the red pepper is a kick!
We got a virgin Hugo drink — so refreshing. For non-drinkers, this felt like sitting at the grown-up table. 😉
Next, we shared the Poached Pear & ‘Blue Cheese’ Salad. Unfortunately, we are NOT drinkers — so the port-soaked pear was wasted on us (left on the plate). However, the rest of the salad was excellent.
Our main dish was the (heart-shaped) LOVE Loaf. So much flavor in such a small serving — though there was plenty of veggies with it.
Lastly, and this, for me, was a bit disappointing, was the Apple-Cinnamon Streusel. In my head, I was thinking ‘strudel’ — we got cake. It probably was perfect for a streusel — floury cinnamon topping, but I don’t care for that. It also had the typical gluten-free texture.
Our server, Rose, was very charming, though I’d have liked her to know more about the menu items (vegans always have so many questions 😉)

Was a little skeptical at first because every fancy vegan restaurant i go to seems to always lack flavor. Ka Papa Cuisine exceeded my expectations to the max. We came for brunch on Sunday(11am-2pm) Every food item my bf and i had were seasoned amazingly and the poached egg dish.. OMG a must try. So delicious, first time having a vegan poached egg and it was spectacular. You can tell they take their time and effort with the quality of their food, which i can very much appreciate. So happy i came across this beautiful restaurant.

Wow! Wow! Wow! If you are vegan, gluten-free, or just prefer to have healthy, wholesome deliciousness, this place is for you! The mother-daughter chef team and co-owners are BRILLIANT at putting together vegan and gluten-free creations have such delicious flavors and are plated so beautifully, the taste like you are having a meal at a fine-dining restaurant! The only difference is that it also feels like it is homemade (which it is) and is filled with love like it was made by your mom!

It's hard to imagine that we have searched out vegan restaurants in Sarasota for the past 5 years and have somehow missed this wonderful spot. Located on picturesque Osprey Street just north of Hillview, the restaurant beckons with a tasteful facade, and stepping inside one feels immediately at home. The staff is obviously well-trained, and their manner is warm an welcoming. But it's the food that takes center stage...delicious, creative soups and salads, and larger plates featuring pasta, eggplant and mushrooms among other offerings. Oh, and save room for dessert...the chocolate cake with whipped "cream" is outrageous!

Best vegan dining in all of Sarasota made and served by the kindest people around! The mother/daughter dynamic duo from Köln, Germany are complete connoisseurs of vegan cuisine. Ka Papa’s approach to plant-based fine dining is unique, universal, and unmatched.
