Great Vegan Spot in Town! - Edit

Los Cristianos is overwhelmingly touristy, essentially like a sunny Britain. In this town of Irish pubs and English breakfasts, it was so nice to find a vegan place. We came here twice and loved it both times!
The food hall is a little hard to find and on the top floor of a modern and typical shopping centre. Even there, K-Vegan is right at the back so you need to search.
The display isn't great, especially if you don't speak Spanish, as there are no names, ingredients etc. A quick chat with the friendly staff becomes very helpful. I ordered an amazing "chicken" wrap, we also tried other lovely burgers, wraps and tacos. Prices are fair and there's a nice terrace to sit at when the sun is shining. Great to enjoy with a beer from the nice bar there!

Pros: Great meaty options!, Nice rooftop terrace

Cons: Hard to find, Display could be improved

Great little place! - Edit

In a food court which means that non vegan friends can get other options. Surprised at the selection available! Really tasty. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is there were no desserts when I visited :-(

Yummy Food - Fastfood - Super Food - Edit

If you love vegan fast food this is the right place to be.
You can have your meal on a huge outdoor terrace with ocean view if you like.
It´s a wonderful food mall where the K-Vegan is located.
Try the choco cake if you eat there.
Enjoy.

Pros: Yummy and good prices, Friendly, Chocolate Cake :)

Cons: If it´s crowded you will have to wait a lil while

Mmmmmm - Edit

Seaweed "burger" was absolutely fantastic. It's somekind of patty made of seaweed and eggplant and something, and rolled in thin bread with tomato and delicious sauce.
I really do recommend, price 5 e, not bad at all. I'll go back and try other dishes too!

Delicious - Edit

It is what It is, a small stall in a lovely food market, but the food is delicious, and I'm not a vegan fan.
The falafel wrap was one of the best I've ever had, so moist.
My husband had the seaweed burger, and loved it.. and it was massive!
Would definitely come back.

Pros: Very reasonably priced.

Excellent food - Edit

We tried the seaweed burger, the seaweed balls with tomato sauce and the chocolate cake and everything was really good and very reasonably priced. Very interesting way of preparing food with seaweed (which I normally don't like). Highly recommended!

what is in that seaweed burger?! - Edit

My goodness.....you have to try the seaweed burger! I've done my fair share of travelling and this is one of the best things i've had, so much flavour and a huge portion!
Also had their spring rolls which were nice.
ps- im certain its cash only!
It's located on the top floor in the la pepe food court of the passarella oasis centre. If you enter from the main road, go in the lift by dialprix up to top then walk straight ahead...you cant miss it!
other food options next door if you go with non vegans :) the stall may appear closed, but just wait a big and he may come.they seem to sit outside if no one wants serving :)

Pros: 100% vegan

Excellent - Edit

Fantastic!!!! - Edit

I visited K-Vegan last week and I loved it!!
It serves tasty, fresh and amazing fast food. I had a falafel wrap which was full of flavour, soft and rich. It was also big but it was so good that I had to try another dish. The seaweed burger was even better!
I highly recommend K-Vegan not only for its amazing food but also for the buzzing atmosphere of the food hall.
It is also the perfect place to go with non vegan friends because inside the food hall there are stands for all tastes including the lovely wine one and the herbal teas one. The terrace was a lovely space where to eat the food and listen to live music.

Pros: Inexpensive, Home made , Tasty

real good food - Edit

As I live in the north of the island, I don't go to the south a lot. But it was a pleasure to see that besides all those supertouristy, ugly restaurants and bars there's also the "La pepa foodmarket" which is nice and stylish and not crowded by tourists, I saw actually rather locals there eating and having a drink. K-Vegan is one of the stands there and has a great range of choice for such a small establishment. I had some kind of falafel with salad and got some spring rolls besides - truly delicious. I don't agree with the others that it's economic - I'd rather say kind of good-priced if compared with other vegan restaurants on the island. But I guess that's because I'm not often in the south and therefore not used to the prices there which seem a bit higher than in other parts of the island. Anyway, good enough to recommend and besides friendly guy working there.

Pros: all vegan, wide choice, delicious

Cons: a bit pricey

Fantastic Find! - Edit

So happy to have found this place after my first week in Tenerife and surviving on salad, chips and rice. Really enjoyed my Falafel wrap, and seitan curry & rice (had two lunches to keep me going!) Also bought some spring rolls for my kids which they loved!

Not so hard to find - Edit

Had a delicious seaweed 'burger' with fresh salad and melted vegan cheese served in a tortilla. A substantial snack, in fact a meal in itself, for just 5 euros.
K-Vegan is part of the La Pepa food market, which in turn is on the top floor of the Passarella Oasis shopping centre. It is actually easiest to get to K-Vegan by going through the shopping centre and coming out behind it on Calle Texas. In Calle Texas go up the steps leading up to La Pepa. Once inside the building bear right and then go straight. You come to several stalls, of which K-Vegan is one of the last.

Pros: Great food, Inexpensive, Open every day

Cons: A bit hidden, Only one table to sit at

a nice selection of good food - Edit

We found the K-vegan take out after asking around a bit. You have to search for it in La pepa food market. The owner was very cool and relaxed, made all the food from scratch, baked the bread himself, cooks himself. Really nice to see. We had a seaweed burger, some seitan stirfry, cake, samosa. Everything tasted good. Only one point that could have been better was that the burgerpatty is so big and thick that is was cold on the inside.

Tasty and Real Vegan Ethics - Edit

Tasted the seaweed wrap, the tortilla and the chocolate cake. checked with the chef, all the items ate really vegan, the chef/proprietor really understand and is committed to veganism which in Spain is perhaps unique! Best of all the items were really tasty, you don't need to be vegan to enjoy the food and I'm really looking forward top my next visit. I found the published directions inaccurate and the shopping centre is further up the hill than the gps indicated. the shopping centre had a nice outdoor area with a view over the whole town and sea. the prices were good and it is a place you can fill up every day without breaking the bank.

Pros: Ethical Vegan (no vegetarian our carnist contamina, Great tasting food, nice seating area

Cons: disposable paper plates and plastic cutlery, plast, may contain added fat (vegan oils, and may not be , drinks menu was small on my visit. Would benefit f

Great Selection, Great Food - Edit

K-Vegan is a take-away in La Pepe Food Hall, on the top floor of the shopping centre. You might need to walk around a bit to find it amongst the other outlets there, but you won't be disappointed.

There were two guys working there, one cooking, who didn't speak English, and one serving, who spoke enough to be able to explain what all of the dishes were.

Everything was vegan, and freshly made, and the selection was really good. We plumped for a wrap that had Quinoa (and other stuff I've forgetten) in it, and a aubergine salad kinda thing.

Even though it's a take-away place, the food hall does have seating outside on the balcony, which was a very handy place to sit and eat our delicious grub.

I totally recommend this place, even if you're not a vegan yourself you will still enjoy the food. The only thing that stopped us going back was that it was miles from where we were staying, otherwise we would have visited every day!

Pros: Quality of Food, Freshly Made, Large Selection of Options
