Serves a wide selection of all-vegan junk food, all of which is made-in-house. Lahmacun (Turkish open pizza) and ıslak burger (wet Turkish burger) on Tuesday. Sundays is an open buffet breakfast at 11:30am-4pm and mantı (Turkish ravioli) at 2.30-9.30pm. Open Mon-Sat 4:00pm-9:30pm, Sun 11:30am-9:30pm.

I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food—I think it’s very delicious—but some of my friends find it too greasy. Since it’s basically junk food, I think that’s normal. Hamburger options like the double beef can be a bit uncomfortable afterward; they’re quite heavy. The Ankara-style fries served on the SSK side are definitely among the must-try dishes. Beyond the food, when you consider the atmosphere, the safe space they create, the support they give to students, and the regular discounts they offer, it’s one of the most important vegan spots in Ankara.”

During my short visit to Ankara, Junk Vegan was the only vegan restaurant I could try, and I really enjoyed it. The menu variety was amazing. I had the vegan Hatay dürüm, which was delicious, though a little extra sauce would make it even better. I also tried the almond ayran, which was really refreshing

It was a little inconvenient to get here, and then I was here on a Sunday for the buffet, so I wasn't able to try the famous burger and fries. I think I would have liked that better than the buffet, which was decent but a bit small and just not that exciting for me. It wasn't the "junk food" that I had heard about.

Had the Sunday brunch and everything was pretty delicious. You pay by weight and my favorite was the potatoes. Will be returning for the manti. Food: 4.5⭐️ and atmosphere can be a bit loud due to surrounding yard work. 4⭐️ atmosphere.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the visit... Very close to the main room is a place where smoking is allowed and all the smoke is drawn inside, and unfortunately the room is quite dusty and not cozy. Because of the smell of cigarettes, we decided to take food with us, as I am not ready to eat food with the taste of cigarettes. We ordered a wet burger and pieces of seitan in breadcrumbs, called fingers, I think. The burger was not bad, unfortunately the fingers are completely devoid of spices and even salt, but this is junk food for god sake.. Disappointment...

I finally get what true junk food is, haha. Though Tokyo has its own vegan junk food, it doesn't come close to this place. I love the food here, and I really appreciate the posters they have up protesting the laws on street dogs in Turkey.

I tried the double beef burger at Junkvegan. Bun and patty were delicious. It was full of sauce, but the mayonnaise could have been a little better. The rich menu was also very good.

Read moreWe tried the junk fingers and iskender. The fingers were divine, the iskender was too spicy (but I guess that's how it's supposed to be).
The ayran was very tasty as well.
If you're craving junk food that is definitely the place to go!
