Excellent

Went in as part of a large group, so had to pre order. Food was really good, and I think everybody from the group had nothing but good things to say about both the food and cocktails.
I will definitely be calling in regularly I can tell.

Lovely staff, great food

We ordered all 6 of the small plates and ate tapas-style! The tempura vegetables were my favourite; the sauce was delicious. The houmous that came with the nachos was described as garlic on the menu but personally I would have liked a little more. We also ordered the blossom bowl and the Mac and cheese as a side. This was definitely enough to feed four people. Everything tasted delicious and the staff were so friendly. Full vegan drinks menu, too.

Worth a visit, we will be back

Found this new place on happycow looking for a bite to eat before an event at the Utilitia Arena. Decided to give it a try despite a 17 min walk both ways & was glad we did. Friendly and fast service, good recommendations on the menu, food was delicious, drinks were tasty, nice atmosphere. We definitely over ordered but ate the lot 😅

Favourite dish: tempura florets
Favourite drink: junebug

All round a lovely experience.

Lovely first visit here.

Not an overly complicated menu. About 5 small plates to choose from and about 5 larger, but this means the emphasis is on quality.
Everything we had was delicious.
The Rock Lobster roll was a treat.
The Kalamari was tasty but a little light on the Kalamari.
We also tried the Nachos from the small plates and this was really tasty.
Fully vegan drink menu too.
Had a lovely chat with the owner too who is a delight.

Pros: Tasty food , Sweet drinks. , Great atmosphere

Expensive and really greasy - but it has potential, and massive portions

I had a lovely midori and rum cocktail, and chose three sides for £19.80 (including 10% service charge), which seemed a fairly hefty vegan tax given the city and location. See pic. It was all OK-to-nice, but horrifically greasy, and far too big to finish - I took some home, but when cold it was just fatty sludge and had to be binned. Service was super friendly but still unattentive and slow.

If they get this right, it will be outstanding. In these early days, given the choice of £20 for this, or £5 for the Veggie Chippy, ain't no choice at all.

I'd give 3.5* if I could. I might give it another try next time I'm in Brum.

Pros: nice ambience, good cocktails, massive portions

Cons: very overpriced, horrifically greasy food
