Great Vegan food and cocktails - Edit
Found this place whilst feeling under the weather - and it really perked me up.
Read moreNice vibe. Food isnt too expensive and the burgers are a unique style - which is refreshing in todays day and age!
I would strongly suggest visiting this place when in Birmingham. I will be going back.
Pros: Nice range of cuisine, Good cocktails

The best food I've eaten in the UK - Edit
The best food I've eaten in the UK - it is maybe not a very high bar - but I lived here for 8 years.
Read moreApart from tasty and well balanced food from well balanced menu (between junkie-comfort and whole-freshness dimensions) , all the staff were very friendly and music was exactly to our likeing (variety of indie sounds) and the right volume (loud enough to hear it well, but not too loud to have comfortable conversations).
Pros: Taste, Menu composition, Staff & Music
Cons: Building's/entrance style not aligned with inside

Delicious, exciting food and drinks! - Edit
Jungle Bird really impressed me! The food is really delicious and there are lovely cocktails too. Three small plates for £18 and you get a huge amount of food for that! The place looks really nice and is clearly trying to attract millennials as they were playing cheesy 90s pop. This place is fun and would be great for all sorts of vegan evenings out. Highly recommend!

Best fully vegan restaurant in Birmingham - Edit
We had three small plates to share (shr*mp tacos, sweetcorn fritters and cauli wings) and then a portion of fries each (volcano fries and m*tton fries) - I loved the whole vibe of the restaurant but a couple of the dishes were a bit bland. Wouldn’t stop me returning though - there’s nowhere else like this in Brum that’s fully vegan!

A Feast - Edit
So nice to be able to order anything off quite a varied menu, so much so that we ordered 1 of every small plate, which was a lot (too much) of food for 3 people. But it was all delicious.
Read moreThe tacos were real stand out, as was the Mac and Cheese.
They have a good cocktail menu too, which is always a treat at a vegan place. Goddammit Dee.
All in all a great place for an indulgent night.
Only con was that it was a bit hard to get the attention of staff when we wanted to order more drinks, we probably would have had another round overall.
Pros: Choice, Choice, Choice
Cons: Service was a little slow

A Birmingham Vegan Must-Try - Edit
This spot is a gem. The staff are insanely friendly and go above & beyond, the food is incredible, the drinks are impressive, and dogs are welcome. Goes from a relaxed vibe in the daytime to a sultry bar of an evening. We went for one a stayed all night! Really great experience overall.

Good food, some access issues - Edit
Love the atmosphere of the place, the Decor and the food was really tasty with loads of different options to choose from. The carribean roast was different from anything I’ve had before and really tasty. The “mutton” was very convincing. Even my meat eater sister really enjoyed her food and wants to go back. There was some confusion with the ordering though as we didn’t realise how big the small plates were (very generous portion sizes) or that they’d come out at the same time as mains - we wanted a few to share as starters before the meal as it was a birthday thing, but otherwise good food and friendly staff.
Read moreAlso there’s no disabled access, thankfully we got around it but really should be made clear online. Couldn’t find any info or clear pictures of the place before booking and turned up to see steps that weren’t in the pictures. Not wheelchair friendly.
Pros: Tasty food, Good variety, Great decor
Cons: No disabled access, No starter options

Service was slow, we waited an hour for food so we had to eat quick but the food was brilliant and the staff were very apologetic. I would definitely come back but I would order less as we couldn’t eat it all 😂

Great food - Edit
Really enjoyed my food here. Lots of options and reasonably priced - definitely want to go back for the bottomless brunch. Seen a few comments about slow service but I had my food in about 15 mins and had great service, although it was quiet. Definitely recommend.

Insane food! - Edit
So much to choose from, and as a non drinking individual they can make any cocktail alcohol free, which was such a change from juice or lemonade. The food was amazing, we had loaded fries, tacos, and nachos. Definitely will be back. The service and friendliness of the staff is next level, credit to you all.

Fantastic menu - Edit
The service was remarkably slow, but fortunately we weren't in a hurry. The waiter said the slow service was because the kitchen was focused on telephone orders and their delivery (not exactly complimentary for those of us in the restaurant to feel like less of a priority) but regardless of that, I'm still giving them 5 stars because the food was really great.

Amazing - Edit
Gorgeous decor, fantastic welcoming and helpful staff. Selection of drinks is outstanding and the food is delicious. We had, tempeh tacos, nacho strips, kraken calamari and sweetcorn fritters - all amazing but was hard to narrow down to these options as everything sounded delicious. Excellent service topped off a fantastic visit!

We went to Jungle Bird for lunch and both had the ‘Sunday Roast’ with jerk gravy, which was delicious. Everything on the menu looked really good and was quite different to usual vegan offerings. The cocktails were great, it was very reasonably priced and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever back in Birmingham!

Excellent and different vegan food - Edit
I've never managed to have Carribbean food as it isn't normally vegan friendly and Jungle Bird completely changed that!
Read moreThey had a new option of a Sunday roast with a Carribbean twist which was very tasty, very filling, and lots of different things to try. A "mutton" Wellington, Mac and cheese, greens, rice and peas, sweet potato mash, fried plantain, and a super tasty jerk gravy. We also had the banana bread for dessert (tasty but not as stunning as the main to be honest) and two mocktails - any of their cocktails can be made mocktails, which is great. Staff were so friendly and helpful and really helped make the experience great.
Would really recommend!
Pros: Vegan versions of non-every day foods, Excellent mocktails, Lovely staff

What a find. So glad we went looking for this after finding it online. The staff were great, the food delicious and the cocktails brilliant. The ‘cheesecake’ is witchcraft! No idea how it is so creamy. Recommend to all a visit 💚
