Unbelievably tasty! - Edit
Went here for valentines dinner and it was unreal. We haven’t had food in Belfast as good as this yet! I had Pad Thai which was delicious, a little bit of a kick and looked amazing too. My partner had one of the curries which again had great flavours and just the right amount of heat. Side of fried broccoli was actually my favourite though! Chocolate brownie and mouse was also delicious. Prices are a little high, especially for the small plates but it really is amazing food. (So much so we didn’t get pics!)

Great food! - Edit
We ate dinner here during a visit to Belfast. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and there are plenty of vegan options on the menu (most things are). Some of the dishes are quite spicy, but you can ask the staff to find out which are the spicy and not-so-spicy ones!

Good Drinks, food could use some work. - Edit
I thought that they had great drinks, the passionfruit tea was soooo good, and I think if I went there with a couple friends just for drinks it would be a good time. However, I found that my meal, Hungley, was very salty and one note, the only break from the overwhelming peanut flavor in my curry was bits of pineapple here and there. It wasn't bad but I think it could be better. My partner on the other hand, got the Korean Fried Rice (Vegetarian only not vegan) and they said that their meal was also very salty but was oddly sweet. The worst thing about their meal thought was that the rice was wayyyy undercooked which is unacceptable. Over all, Not too bad but I wouldn't return unless they fixed a couple things on their menu.

Amazing vegan food that isn't junk food - Edit
We absolutely loved the food here, what a treat! Whilst vegan junk food is great, it was so nice to find a place making healthy(ish) food packed with flavours. Their ginger juice is better than any mocktail, highly recommend. Really something quite special but not cheap! See photo for latest menu/prices - it was worth it though

Love this joint - Edit
Great atmosphere and service with very knowledgeable staff. It is a vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options and a willingness to create vegan options. I have never had a bad dish pretty much everything I’ve eaten here has been delicious! It’s also my top choice in Belfast for bringing non veg / vegans as they also love the food !

nice location with good food - Edit
At the Jumon there are some vegan disches on the menu, we had the Jumon Dandan and the Malacca Laksa. The food was good, but it would be nice to label the dishes which contains coriander, because so many people don't like it. The staff was friendly, but the restaurant was very noisy.

Why so many good reviews? - Edit
All this hype and good reviews, tried to go there few times but was always before opening... finally managed to visit and... very not impressed. Food was mediocre, had better in Camile (and that should say a lot), prices for what we actually got quite excessive, I liked water though, nicely chilled. The biggest gripe I have with this place is 'discretionary service charge' that has been added to the bill delivered to the table... if I wanted to tip, I would, I usually do, but being forced to do so is just poor experience... not coming back...

Really nice! - Edit
Everything we tried was delicious! Super cute place. Our server seemed a little confused about the difference between vegan and vegetarian but we got through it. Just be sure to pay attention to the menu when ordering. Everyone was very friendly and the food and drinks were great.

I’ve been here twice and both times the service has been as impeccable as the food. Everything on the menu is a treat and offers a real explosion of flavour. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal in Belfast.

Favourite restaurant. The food is so full of flavour and really unique to the restaurant. Don't get food like it elsewhere. Have never had a bad meal here!

Perfect flavours - Edit
I ate on my own travelling with work. Despite being sold out online, I was offered a seat in the window as a walk-in. I was well attended to throughout the meal by the front of house staff.
Read moreThe ginger and cucumber swizzle was a great non-alcoholic option. The curry I had was mega flavourful and just the right size. The Half Moon dessert was small but all I needed after the big main. It had the perfect balance of flavours, sweet and malty cereal milk ice-cream, sweet cake, tart mango and the bitter sesame crisp. Amazing.
Such good value, awesome vibe, attentive staff.

Very good British version of Asian fusion food - Edit
Jumon serves very nice food and has a large menu, which is almost completely vegan (there was a single dish with honey in it). The food is a European / British version of asian fusion food, everything we ordered tasted great.
Read moreIt is a bit pricey though at 12.50 for a main and 7.50 for a small dish - we shared 1 main and 3 smalls with 2 people and that felt about right for dinner.

Mod Asian - Edit
Update: They now have a pop up restaurant in the York Inn, Portstewart. Same dishes mostly with a few additions but the portion size is way smaller. Basically it's jumon tapas. Menu didn't really explain that but the speed of service was lightning fast so you can add on as you go. Quality of food very high but as it was their first night opening and lot of people found out there was a bit of confusion throughout. Not that it caused unresolved problems - got everything we ordered. Bill also wasn't huge, pleasingly. Worth a try! Pic of menu uploaded.
Read moreVery good. Northern Ireland has got used to a kind of restaurant good we call "Chinese" that relies on sauces and fried food. Whilst tasty, you get more or less the same old dishes everywhere with what seems to be the same mix of carrot, onion, bamboo shoots and baby sweetcorn from the lazier outlets for veggie options.
Jumon has already innovated in a crowded marketplace. Looking like it comes straight out of the movie "big trouble in little China", as soon as you sit down you are offered a cup of spiced tea.
Take it from there and no matter what you are ordering you'll get a flavourful take in fresh pan-asian cuisine taking in spices, herbs and fresh vegetables.
Nothing is overpowering, nor are the portions giant but the flavours full and delicious.
The unusual ingredients and unfamiliar tastes were really refreshing and vibrant. Really enjoyed everything I ordered. It came quickly and tasted sublime.
A real unusual and vibrant take on vegetarian food for Belfast. Not too spicy or overpowering.
They also checked with me that cheese was OK for me - my option wasn't vegan, plenty were clearly labelled vegan however. They also modified the food for one of my party's dietary requirements with no hassle. A great place.

Amazing Vegan Food - Edit
I visited Jumon for the first time last week and I was blown away.
Read moreSuch a brilliant range of vegan food, mains and sides as well as vegan cocktails.
We split some starters, Veggie Gyozas and KMP which is chips with a spicy topping (delish)
then I had the Laksa and my friends had the Ramen and Tacos. The Laksa was unreal, huge portions, really well presented, it was spicy but loads of flavour.
The prices are pretty reasonable especially for the size of the portions.
This is definitely the best vegan / plant based food in Belfast.
The service here is also brilliant and I would recommend to anyone in Belfast or visiting.
Pros: Amazing Food, Huge Portions, Range of plant based food available
