Best Vegan Food in the Area

Jrs has some of the best vegan food in the area. Their menu changes every week, and there’s always a wide selection. Their drumsticks ars UNMATCHED. They also pack your container tight.

Pros: Lots of options, Delicious, Healthy

Yum!

We stopped by for lunch. We had rice and peas, mac and cheese, greens, and drumsticks. It was all delicious and my kids have already asked to go back!

Eatery with great potential

Great concept for a little eatery. Menu rotates weekly.

I've tried the BBQ drumsticks, Korean BBQ tofu, oxtail, kale, collard greens, rasta pasta, and chickpea stew.

Loved the bbq drumsticks, kale, and collard greens. Korean bbq tofu was good for what it was, but it is NOT Korean in the slightest. Lacks any and all Korean flavors. Rasta pasta was overcooked, but fine. Chickpea stew was just lightly-seasoned chickpeas, not stew-like at all.

I personally couldn't eat the oxtail, it was too reminiscent of meat for me. Extremely chewy and hard to swallow. Boyfriend was a fan though.

The matcha smoothie was delicious, and I want to go back to try the other flavors they have.

Staff wasn't the friendliest or welcoming. They just stood there and seemed bothered to answer any questions. A proper website with a menu (or anything besides just Instagram) would vastly improve the experience.

Pros: Good value, Big portions

Cons: Unwelcoming staff

Good food, not so good ordering process

I really want to love JR’s. I’ll start off by saying the cheesesteak tastes amazing (be sure to order a side of fries - loved the spices on them!). Their juice was good too, and I’m not normally a juice person.

Unfortunately the ordering process is the reason I don’t return. The weekend grill special is usually announced starting around 1-2pm, which is too late for my lunch and they close too early for dinner. To order, you need to call them. The day I went, I was passing through the general area around 12:30. Sat outside for 30 min waiting for ordering to open at 1pm. Had to dig around for a phone number - it wasn’t on the Instagram post or easily accessible in their profile. Called in my order from my car, right outside the door. Waited the estimated 20 minutes in the car. Walked inside. It wasn’t ready - no big deal. I asked if I could add on fries quickly/easily (didn’t want to wait much longer) and was told they’ll be right out. Waited at least 20 more minutes. The cheesesteak was barely warm when I received it, fries were hot. Partially my fault for the add-on but I wish I knew it would add so much wait time. The flavors were great but overall experience keeps me away.

Excellent food

Looks like a more limited menu than what has been posted here but still many options and everything was super delicious. The staff was friendly too. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Pros: 100% vegan, Lots of options, Large portions

Cons: Closes relatively early, Reduced menu (likely temporary)

Friendly place.

Very friendly place. The owner gave us a smoothie to drink while we waited for our order (it was delicious). The curry chicken and the mac and cheese were my families favorites. The food is very filling.

Exactly what Bridgeport and Fairfield county needed

Jr's has a great menu and consistently provides delicious food that is hearty and satisfying. The pricing for what you get is very reasonable and the menu changes almost weekly so there's always something different to look forward to. Fairfield county badly needed more fully vegan restaurants, especially with reasonable pricing. Jr's fills that gap perfectly. And no matter what seasoning or sauce is used on the drumsticks, they are always phenomenal!!!

Pros: Price is very reasonable, Portions are good size, Variety of options to choose from

Cons: Sometimes they run out of some menu items early

Amazing food, great prices, kind staff

Im so glad this place opened up! They have so many great options, their menu seems to change weekly which is awesome. Great portions. Always delicious, never disappointed.

So much yummy food!

Incredible selection of fun, flavorful sides and protein sides for really good price! For $12 we got a giant box of food that easily fed the two of us. I like the fact the menu changes often, the veggies and “meats” were spiced perfectly (not too spicy for those who can’t take heat but still packed a lot of flavor!). We ordered through ubereats so didn’t get a chance to see the restaurant itself. Can’t wait to try more!

Amazing food amazing price

12$ for high quality tasting wings, chicken dish, and 3 sides? The mac and cheese had incredible taste and seasoning even though it wasn’t super saucy, the cabbage and wings were good! Honestly I would have preferred the ginger chicken to be more glazed the pieces of ginger were a little large but absolutely will order again, I love this place and this is the type of restaurant I want to support

New spot, great potential

Add Jr's to the list of great vegan spots in Park City (I include Shandal's at the corner of Capital and Main and Bloodroot on Ferris St. on my list). The menu changes as they are committed to determining how best to serve the tastes of the community. I had (and loved) the BBQ chicken, jerk chicken, stew peas and coconut curry cabbage, and my non-vegan Dad (who has eaten at a lot of vegan spots) also loved the BBQ, and also the asparagus and pumpkin rice and fresh juice. The staff are welcoming, compassionate, and passionate about the food and also the community they want to serve. Go try them soon - you might be able to get one of your favorites or a new suggestion on the menu!

Pros: But so many though...

Cons: There isn't one where I live now.

I went on their second day open and they didn't have the full menu ready yet but the food and juices available were great
