Elevated Dining for Any Time of Day - Edit
Joylark looks sophisticated, but not snobby. You don't have to come dressed to the nines. But you could if you wanted to! It's casual dining but if you want more of an experience with food, this is unmatched for vegan dining in Connecticut.
Read moreThere's a dining space for any type of group, too. A full bar, high top seating, booths with small tables for enjoying a cocktail, and full dining tables for families. There's even a banquette for a private large gathering in a uniquely decorated space.
The menu is VARIED. Joylark is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. You could have a craving at any time of day and they are open and have a menu for whatever you crave.
Chef Jenna has gone above and beyond this time, and has great experience as a vegan restauranteur. Everything is vegan and clean. It feels like visiting a City Roots restaurant in NYC.
Everything is delicious. It's not big, heavy, cheap food. It's attentive, friendly, and caring service paired with clean, unique, and elevated food.
Pros: Elevated Dining experience, Open practically all the time for all occasions, An oasis in a vegan food dessert
Cons: Pricey - but so is every restaurant these days

Great Food and Nice Atmosphere - Edit
Joylark is a beautifully designed space that feels bright and upscale. The menu is expansive and the staff is friendly and professional. We had the curry tofu dish and it was delicious. The maple pecan chocolate chip cookies were great as well. This is a gem of a place to find outside of NYC or LA, and I look forward to eating there regularly.

Nice food and atmosphere - Edit
Full vegan restaurants are a bit hard to come by in this area so it was such a treat that Joylark opened. The food was delicious. There were many creative drinks and dishes, the service was fantastic and we loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back here

Everything we've always needed - Edit
Great sit-down ambiance & service, and remarkably inventive, delicious food & cocktails -- so many options! Cauliflower & brussels sprouts appetizers were perfectly-textured & tasted. My chopped seitan melt was phenomenal; my partner's crispy cauliflower parm really tasty (note don't expect italian flavors on this one -- it's more African/MidEastern-spiced). Run don't walk! It has perfect ambiance for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a bar/bakery/diner section, quiet discussion nooks. Just excellent! We can't wait to go back again.

Upscale gourmet gem - Edit
We had several creative hot dishes that were well conceived and very tasty, including a couple of starters. The homemade chocolate chip cookies as well as the tahini cookies were excellent. Our juices and smoothie were also fresh and wonderful. They also have a full bar!

Must visit - Edit
Just visited Joylark for the first time, and wow! We were so happy to have a vegan restaurant in Fairfield again, and we had previously enjoyed The Stand by chef Jenna, but you can't even compare the two. This is by far the most sophisticated vegan place in the area, suitable for any occasion, breakfast lunch and dinner, with a stylish interior including a bar and outdoor seating.
Read moreWe tried 3 different dishes which were all delicious and perfectly seasoned. We can't wait to go back to try more.
They don't advertise the word vegan - I think to appeal to a wider customer base, but it is a full vegan place. Whatever they need to do to stay around, we need this place in Fairfield!
Pros: Flavors, Reasonable prices, Atmosphere
Cons: None!!

Blown away - Edit
As someone who has been to some of the best vegan restaurants across the world, I can honestly say that Joylark makes some of the best food I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It’s hard to come by a nice sit down vegan restaurant, and Joylark exceeded my expectations. The menu items were so unique. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away by everything I tried. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I will absolutely be coming back and trying the entire menu. I highly recommend Joylark.
