Great cafe with good food, service & prices

I'm in St Australia visiting for a couple of months. I'll need to come back as the menu is great. This time had soup of the day (delish) banana bread & a chai in a pot. My friend had the satay tofu bowl, coffe & chic mint cup

Pros: Good food with heaps of options, Friendly staff, Great prices

Cons: Hard to decide what to choose!!!

Great place, great people, great food

Stopped for lunch, got the BLOAT, which was awesome. The service from everyone there was excellent, just really nice people. I will drop in for lunch anytime I’m in Adelaide from here on in.

Pretty good!

Got brunch here with my husband and in-laws. We all enjoyed our food quite a bit, although my husband and I thought the smoothies were a bit too watery for our liking. I was very impressed by the fake fried egg however!

Delicious croissant, average toastie

I remembered coming here for lunch the first time and having an average burger and a sky blue smoothie. This time we came for breakfast and had coffee and a couple of toasties. My hot croissant with cheese, tomato, bacon and avo was delicious and decadent and went down well with my extra-hot oat flattie. The toastie with vegemite, caramelised onion and bacon wasn’t so great, let down by some pretty mediocre bread that did nothing to enhance the fillings. I did want to come back and try some other stuff but our schedule didn’t fit with the business hours. (Closed Monday like most places in Adelaide.)

Pros: Delicious croissant

Cons: Disappointing toastie

Fantastic little suburban cafe

Joy of Flora is my go to place to enjoy a coffee or brunch. Indoor or outdoor seating, a dog-friendly area too. Lots of sweet treats usually on offer & a lot of more substantial tasty meals on the menu too.

Pros: BLOAT - vegan BLT with the lot, dog friendly area, staff are a joy

Cons: coffee is ok, but not brilliant

Not bad but also not very good

We tried the cauliflower wing bowl, a croissant with ham, cheese & tomato and the creamy mushroom soup. My boyfriend liked the soup a lot, I found it ok. The other two dishes were really not bad but also just not very good. Wasn’t Restaurant quality in my opinion but more like something a friends cooks for you.
We made the mistake to order an almond croissant and coffees after the mains - croissant was very dry and the filling was just not delicious. Even fresher it probably would have not been better in my opinion. Coffees were average

Joy is the word!

This community cafe has the most delicious menu, the most relaxing atmosphere and fine, fine coffee. A welcoming place indeed – I set up office for most of a day and one BLOAT lepinja, custard croissant, baklava and tea and coffees, I left with a determination to be back!

Pros: 100% vegan, Great mix of savoury and sweet, Excellent coffee and conversation

My fav Adelaide cafe

I love JoF so much. Very friendly owner who cares about his costumers being happy. Coffee is great and food is amazing.
First time I was there I got a coffee that was a bit lumpy but I think it was just a bad choice of milk. Luckily it didnt put me off and I came back and love this cafe since. My favorite is BLAT and Chik'n burger 🤤
This place is also great for studying or working from your computer as the atmosphere is so chilled and they have good Wi-Fi.

Pros: Delicious food and coffee, Chilled atmosphere, Wi-Fi

So nice!

We love JOF. Such a kind and lovely owner and the cafe is super cute. My favourite is the ham and cheese croissant and the toasted banana bread, but everything from the menu is really good. I like that they have lots of vegan merch and goodies to buy, there's always something I want to get! Great selection sweets also. Such a gem :)

Pros: Everything is vegan, Very well priced

Great cafe, amazing staff

Food is delicious, great menu. Juices/smoothies are really good too! Then I got JOF to cater for a private event and everything they served was FANTASTIC! Could not have picked an easier caterer to deal with. The owner Mark is just wonderful.
