The best restaurant at the Northern Beaches, Amalfi Coast Views

Jonah’s is by far the best restaurant and hotel at the Northern Beaches, in my humble opinion in the whole of Sydney. It is situated in a residential area on top of the hill at Whale Beach overlooking the ocean and headlands, the views and atmosphere can only be compared to the Amalfi Coast. There is no other place like this in greater Sydney due to building permissions but Jonah’s was first established almost a hundred years ago (in 1926 I believe) hence the location.
Not only the views are impressive: The food, staff and service are beyond excellent. It is a fine dining experience that can only be enjoyed as a set menu that comes with a price tag but it is worth every penny. It is so good, I promise you won’t care how much you pay! I can highly recommend it for a special occasion or if you are after a fancy meal.
My husband and I got married here so had a lot of interactions and tastings with them and our experience was first class, I could spend endless hours talking about how amazing Jonah’s and their staff, service, food, wine, hotel, location and views are. We also stayed at the hotel and the rooms, views and breakfast are great.
They don’t list their vegan menu on their website but they have a dedicated plant based menu and most vegan dishes can be made gluten-free also. Unlike other fine dining restaurants, their portions are generous and you’ll leave feeling full.
They are renowned for their seafood and meat too so if you’re dining with someone that is not vegan (like my husband), they will certainly enjoy their food too.

Pros: Separate vegan menu (not on website), Amalfi Coast like views , Fine dining experience
