Non-vegetarians will like this place too! - Edit
Lunch was a six-course meal affordably priced at $39.80 per pax. There is a smaller menu for those who don’t take garlic and onions. Truffle risotto and blueberry/ coconut false cake are my favourites. My non-vegetarian friends love the place and found the food yummy. Service was good.

Exquisite vegan dining experience - Edit
Environment: Chic, elegant, spacious
Read moreFood: The restaurant has a dedicated pure vegan menu set (no garlic, no onion) when asked. Food was delicately presented and everyone at the table loved the food. A 7-course fine dining vegan dinner set for only S$69.80 , a price that is very low in terms of Hong Kong standard.
Service: Polite, attentive, proactive
Price: Medium-high
Pros: All foods are camera-worthy.
Cons: None. Exceptional experience since reservation.

They don't seem to change their menu. Seem to be eating the same if you are there more than once a month.

Delightful Veggie Meal - Edit
I’ve been eyeing this restaurant for a while & I’m so glad we finally got to go for lunch! Joei by Dozo is a fusion of European and Japanese and European cooking, which is my absolute favourite combination!
Read moreWe both really enjoyed the meal and the price was fantastic – we went for lunch as the price is far more affordable ($38.80 pp for lunch, as opposed to $68.80 pp for dinner).

I guess this is the only place you can find fine dining kind of experience with veg* option. However everything kind of "expected". Didn't get the wow factor that much.

Amazing service, good food - Edit
Went there for a celebration (with free discount coupons from some website) and I'm not going to lie: knowing that the meal is cheaper put me in a good mood already. But our waiter was brilliant and introduced each dish to us very nicely, told some jokes as well which made the dining experience relaxing.
Read moreSome courses have small portions, but I think there were about 8 courses when I went, so we all left satisfied. Presentation of the food was very refreshing and the food was delicious. Even my friends who usually shun vegetarian food were wow-ed and couldn't believe vegetarian food could be so tasty!
Very happy with my dining experience, but the price of the meal would bar me from going there again unless I have some discount coupons!
Pros: Amazing presentation and taste, Brilliant servers, Beautiful scenery
Cons: Expensive :(

Food Art - Edit
I think a lot of people forget that this is a 6-7 course meal depending if you go for lunch or dinner. Don’t come here starving just be prepared to savor these very delicate melt in your mouth dishes!

My husband and I went over for lunch and it was one of the best experiences we had in Singapore. Food, view, service and overall ambience was exceptional! Try their Grill Summer Mushroom Steak on “Pu-Ye” Hot Stone you won’t look at a mushroom the same way ever again!
Pros: Vegan options , Friendly staff , Great location

Expensive, pretentious yet beautiful - Edit
Seven item menu. Small portions, nouvelle cuisine, ridiculous fantasy dishes. Don’t go there if you want a square meal. One dish I had consisted of teeny bowls of veggies eg a tablespoon of corn, a tablespoon of pine nuts, a minutely chopped cherry tomato . You then tipped them into another bowl with some squeezed lime and ate it. Lots of attention to detail but honestly! What a ridiculous thing to eat! Is it the real world? Not wanting to decry the efforts of the chef, but it all seemed pretty daft to me - and eye-wateringly expensive.

Veggie but will flex it to vegan if you say. Really good tasting menu. Not cheap (Im guessing but I wasnt paying!) but excellent. If the weather is not too hot they have a small undercovered terrace which is nice. Go there for imaginative and beautifully presented food.

Loved the appetizers!! - Edit
Went for the lunch set and loved the appetizers!! Especially the “salmon” sashimi. The texture was amazing! 😆 Only downside was the main, I got the risotto and it was just ok, nothing special about it.

Creative Fine Dining - Edit
We found Joie to be truly memorable with their creative, artistic presentations. They gave us great options within the whole food plant based diet we use. Each presentation was better than the last presentation so we photographed them all! There are very few fine dining vegan restaurants in the world. If you enjoy fine dining this is well worth the trip.

Come for lunch if you must - Edit
Had dinner here and it was alright. Seven-course meal for about SGD70 per person plus tax and service charge. Lunch is six-course and costs only half as much! Had I known that I would've definitely done lunch instead.
Read moreThey do have a vegan menu available on request. Food was pretty good for the most part with some dishes better than the others. In particular I'd recommend against the risotto in that mine was weirdly loose and borderline soupy.
There was just something about the décor that didn't jibe with me. Maybe it was the dark theme... It just felt a little pretentious. It has the facade of an upscale restaurant but simply misses the mark. For example, the two light fixtures in our dining room had all but several light bulbs burned out and yet no one seemed to care to replace them. Service was attentive and very efficient, if not a bit rushed and robotic. Our waiter tried her best to explain what was being served but most of the time we couldn't understand a single word.
On the whole it was a passable experience. Glad to have tried it but probably wouldn't return.
Pros: attentive staff
Cons: décor, rushed service

One of two of my best gourmet vegan meal's of the year - Edit
I only joined happy cow reviewing now and wanted to recognize some of the outstanding places I've eaten in the past year as I travel a lot and am vegan. Joie was one of the best if not the best. The atmosphere is modern chic and the food is simply outstanding. There are limited options as a vegan but what there is is extremely tasty and beautifully presented: the food comes as an artwork. It is also highly creative. The only negative part was that when I went they didn't have any special desert beyond fresh fruit (which was beautifully presented) and didn't seem able to create something on the spot - they should set their minds to putting together delicious vegan deserts which are wholly possible. Whilst expensive, this is a place to go for food that stimulates all the right parts of the palate: highly recommended!!

Cons: Should develop vegan desert

Well presented average tasting food - Edit
As so often with these kind of "fine dining" places you pay for the presentation rather than the quality of the food. Expect beautifully plated tasting dishes that please the eye but not so much the taste buds, let alone the stomach.
Read moreNone of the courses were particularly creative or well done but most of them where alright. I had to pass on a flavourless soup that came luke warm and was very disappointed with a "risotto" that was more of a porridge (no bite to it at all). The starter and dessert I enjoyed but the best part was probably the complimentary "spaghetti snacks" right at the start.
I think it is possible to have a good time here just do not get your hopes about the food up too high. It does not live up to its reputation. And do not come hungry! The lunch set was about 50 dollar and half of our group went to grab a bite right after.
Pros: Nice ambience, Beautiful plating
Cons: Rather boring food, Small portions, Unprofessional staff

My husband and I were in Singapore for our anniversary and wanted to find an upscale veg place. Joie delivered. Set atop a beautiful rooftop garden with city views, we were treated to a 6-course lunch experience. Highly creative, tasty, and enjoyable. I particularly loved the ravioli. Highly recommend.

This is the only 5 star setting veg restaurant in singapore correct me if i am wrong. Their lunch is not too expensive considered the quality and portion of food served. The ambience is splendid esp the private rooms that overlook the roof top gardens. I enjoyed every visits and will look forward to come back whenever I had occasions to celebrate. Great for couples.

Beautiful Presentation - Edit
We very much enjoyed this meal. A fixed seven-course meal for dinner. Although vegetarian this restaurant layed on an excellent vegan version for us. My favourite was the mushroom and truffle soup and my husband loved the sushimi-style entree best. The view was lovely, though a little hard to see at night - dimmer restaurant lighting and a little outdoor lighting would have added to the ambience; that being said we were very happy with everything and extremely touched by the plate that was brought out that said "Welcome to Singapore". Lovely and very helpful staff.
