Great sandwich spot - Edit

All vegan sandwiches. Very filling serving. Bread a bit too crunchy for my liking but tasty. Would go there again.

Fun for a fast lunch - Edit

Had lunch here today as this place is close to my hotel. Fun little spot with a handful of sandwich choices, all vegan. The sandwiches were pre-made so we got our food right away. Really enjoyed the eggplant miso sandwich, but the tempeh Reuben was good too! Yum.

To balance the positive: No convenient place to wash hands, and not really enough seating when lots of people there. Would go back for sure though.

Winner Winner Sandwhich Dinner - Edit

Cute vibe, super quick service, and well priced for a huge sandwich with vegan ingredients! The tempeh Reuben was AMAZING! So great to see something like this in Sydney that is similar to my regular Smith & Deli in Melbourne. I want to come back and try everything! Bonus points for Cher blasting on the speakers the week of Mardi Gras!

Pros: Taste. service, location, vibe

Cons: Would be nice toasted and wasn’t given an option!

Delicious, big and quick sandwhich as they have about 8 different types of sangas ready to go. Took my chipolte pumpkin sanga to the park and had a very enjoyable time with it. i didnt leave a crumb it was soooo damn good!

Really tasty - Edit

Yes $12 for a sandwich is on the pricey side but they're a decent size with lovely bread. I had the eggplant sandwich and thought the flavours were delicious, will definitely be returning!

Masters of their craft - Edit

Joe's Sandwich Bar makes every other sandwich I've ever eaten seem boring. I had the 'miso eggplant', and even though the colour combination (of the eggplant and avocado) was a bit off-putting, the taste was fantastic. To be honest, though, the standout was probably the bread (Iggy's), which almost melts in your mouth. With that bread, any sandwich is going to be a winner.

The customer service was bland but pleasant enough, although the surrounding construction sites didn't make for a very pleasant atmosphere where I was perched on the stools out front; best to take your (mouth-wateringly good) sandwich and eat it elsewhere.

Pros: Reasonable price for size, Amazing bread, Quirky but good fillings

Cons: Loud construction sites around, Bland customer service

Nice Vegan option.. - Edit

Me being vegetarian have very limited lunch options near to my office at Kent Street. This one is a nice option for vegans. Ordered a smokey potato and stuffing was really good although these guys should really work on their Bread.

Could be good - Edit

Based on the reviews here I was keen to try this out as it's not easy to get a good vegan sandwich in the Sydney CBD. The location is the hole-in-the-wall that was previously Zeigeist so it still suffers from the same problems - tiny shop front, almost no seating and located in the middle of major building works.
I ordered a pumpkin (plus other stuff) sandwich and they had one ready-made and ready-bagged. I don't kknow how long before that they'd actually made it but when I got back to my desk less than 10 minutes later the bread was starting to go soggy from the sandwich contents. The overall taste was good but due to the lack of structural integrity it was a bit messy to eat. I'd really prefer to wait a few minutes and have the sandwich made to order.
All sandwiches are $12. That's a bit steep.
It's really only 3.5 stars based on this experience.

Pros: Vegan sandwiches

Cons: Not cheap

Amazing - Edit

Love this new place. Tried 3 of their sandwiches and all of them were delicious. The bread is nice and crunchy, fully packed with healthy ingredients, explosion of flavors. 100% recommend.

Pros: Vegan novelty sandwich options, Quick, Interesting combos

Cons: On the expensive side

Pretty good vegan sandwiches - Edit

Service was super quick (at 12.15) and friendly. I had the miso eggplant sandwich and all the ingredients were very fresh and tasty, they fitted well with each other, the eggplant was perfect. However, they put a lot of mayo in it and I thought it didn't really go well with the other elements of the sandwich.
However, for $12 it was good value for money and I really like that their packaging is quite eco-friendly (and it seems like they don't even sell plastic bottles which is great)

Pros: Choice, Price, Fresh ingredients

Cons: Too much mayo

Joe seems to know his way around an interesting and tasty vegan sandwich. Good bread, too.

Pros: choice, nutritious

Cons: waiting (made fresh during peak hour)
