several vegan options - Edit
I am not a huge ramen fan, but this is probably the best I've had. My partner loves ramen so we went to Jinya. I didn't get the spicy ramen but I thought this one was spicy too. Cocktails are good too.

Vegan kids meal is the best there is - Edit
It’s so much food. Kids get a sampler of pretty much everything so it’s almost guaranteed they will actually eat something.
Read moreThey have lots of vegan options for adults too, but always have to shout out a solid vegan kids option.
Pros: Options, Kids meal 🙌🏼
Cons: Pricey!

Great ramen - Edit
The broth was extremely flavorful in the vegan red fire opal ramen, portion size was good as I couldn't finish it, they put like half of a block of tofu in so it's very filling. The ambiance is pretty dark but that's the vibe they're going for. They have multiple dishes with Impossible meat, the gyoza were super delicious.

Cons: Dark inside, Noodles were a little undercooked, Wasn't spicy enough

Amazing taste but overpriced - Edit
The ramen is almost $20 so it’s way too much for ramen imo but the portions will fill you up. The rice bowl is a little better price wise and still tastes great.

Delicious vegan ramen. - Edit
This place rarely disappoints. The ramen is rich and flavorful. However, the tofu is lackluster and completely unprepared. It doesn't add anything to the dish.

Lots of vegan choices - Edit
At least 3 vegan options. The Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen was excellent. So was the Tadai-ji cocktail (tequila & basil).

Pleasant Ramen - Edit
Mosaic District location recently moved a few hundred feet to new roomier digs. Quick, friendly service, comfortable outside seating.
Read moreTwo ramen bowls hot, with ample portions, not too spicy. Tasty noodles & tofu with vegetables. Tacos with “Impossible Meat” quite salty. Watermelon & cucumber drinks delicious.
Entering restaurant indoors to get a table, we found loud musak makes conversation difficult, not so loud with outdoor seating.
Pros: Pleasant outside seating , Roomier new location
Cons: Loud musak

Last time visiting, the outdoor seating area was enclosed in plastic sheeting, & a request to management to open up a section of the plastic enclosure was refused. So seating effectively becomes “inside,” kind of stuffy, and not COVID friendly…

Incredible! - Edit
If I could give this place 5 stars, I would. Get the vegan ramen- it’s warm, filling, flavorful, and just all around wonderful. They can do take-out as well

Spicy cream vegan - Edit
Enjoyed the spicy creamy vegan with gluten free noodles. I come her often and I ask for extra spicy to turn up the heat. 🥵

We should have read these comments before going. The red fire opal was really misleading, like a 3/10 on the spice scale. I was expecting way more heat, good to know that you can ask for more.

not bad - Edit
the spicy creamy ramen was not quite spicy... it was not hot either, maybe slightly warm at best. other than that, i thought it tasted fine. however, the portion size was a little small for the price

Obsessed!! - Edit
We are so obsessed with this ramen, the best we've ever had! We've introduced a couple of people to it as well because it is just so good. The last few times we went, they gave us the chili sauce (I think that's what it was) to adjust our spice. Some things that are vegan are labeled as vegetarian only. If the weather is nice, we recommend sitting outside.

Best ramen in the area - Edit
The closest I can find in the DC area to what I had living in Japan years ago. The creamy vegan ramen is the best - I'm ovolacto but I get that one every time. Don't miss it!

i dream about this ramen - Edit
The spicy creamy vegan ramen at Jinya is one of the tastiest things I have ever eaten. If you’re into spicy, you can ask for extra heat! They also have an opposite side of the spectrum- the vegetable soup has a much lighter broth and is full of fresh veggies that are never over cooked. Only thing I would ask for is to mark vegan appetizers/other options more clearly on the menu! edit: they just added EVEN MORE vegan options, including more vegan appetizers and another ramen!

Great Vegan Ramen - Edit
We always enjoy getting the spicy vegan ramen at Jinya. We travel a lot and rely on it.
Read moreIt is a chain but it is still actually the best ramen we've found in the states. We've been to Ts Tan Tan in Japan (Japanese Vegan Ramen Shop in Tokyo) and Jinya is pretty good.
We don't find the Spciy Vegan Ramen to actually be spicy. You can always order the chili oil and garlic oil on the side if you are worried.
Sometimes we do find the ramen to be a bit oily. We love the silken tofu.
The staff here were not very friendly or helpful. I would suggest online ordering for this location.
I wish Jinya had Vegetable Tempura. They do have brussle sprout tempura which is okay. We have asked several times and have always been told the batter for the brussle sprout tempura is only water and flour. This is how tempura is traditionally made but some places have dried milk or dried egg in the batter. Be aware they do not have a separate fryer.
Pros: Best Vegan Ramen
Cons: No vegetable tempura, Not many options

good vegan ramen - Edit
I liked the vegan ramen dish. If they differentiated between vegan and vegetarian on the menu (on appetizers, for instance) I would give it an extra star.
