A feast!

We arrived just after 4pm on our way to the hotel and they happily accommodated us. Alerting them to the fact that we’re vegan, they proceeded to making a lush feast of healthy and tasty dishes. The wheat protein was particularly nice, the pepper? slices with all the chilli and the lion’s mane ‘steak’, too. It was a lot of food for two people! Set menu at Y98 pp.

Pros: High dining , Variety, Delicious

Unreliable opening hours

All Chinese apps said it closes at 9. I arrived at 19:35.
Unfair.

Very Special place run by generous people and unbelievably delicious food!

Behind a hotel in downtown Changsha, this place is more than worth visiting. The staff are warm and friendly, and gave us all a feeling of being accepted into a family of people passionate about sharing beautifully prepared, fresh, balanced dishes all with their own unique flavours and textures. The best meal I had in China. The generosity of these people restores one’s faith in humanity.

Best vegetarian food in China so far

Incredible restaurant down an unlikely ally behind a hotel in downtown Changsha. Very fresh, simply cooked Buddhist food in a beautiful traditional style paper-screen private room. Clean, delicious and very good price. It is run by a very lovely lady with a huge smile who gave each of us gifts of tea and incense even though she spoke no English and we spoke no Chinese.

Pros: Fresh, simply cooked vegetarian food, Clean, Run by lovely people

Cons: None
