Restaurant serving only Jingalov Hats, a uniquely Armenian dish from Artsakh (Karabakh) which is a number of herbs and greens wrapped in a simple vegan dough. Good for sitting in or take-out. All vegan except for a dairy yogurt drink. Also serves water, wine, and juice. PLease note pakhlava contains non-vegan butter and eggs. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-10:00pm. Hours may vary; call ahead.

Amazing!

Didn't know what to expect but the hacs are amazing, fresh and comfort food at the same time. Server speaks English, the service was very quick.

hats!

Jengyalov hacs are a lovely Armenian vegan snack, originally from the Karabakh region. This is the easiest way to try them when you are visiting in Yerevan.
The place itself is nice as well, but I think the decor is more suited for the darker days instead of getting one on a hot summer day.

tasty

A funny place - they only serve one dish, so when you enter the waitress asks you "how many?".

The food is tasty, although a little bland. Good for a snack. I've eaten the same dish in other places and I liked it better elsewhere, but the difference wasn't big.

Worth to visit!

Authentic little place with low prices and fast service. The highlight is that here only jengyalov hac (or hats, as you wish), baklava and drinks are on the menu. Jengyalov hac is a dish with a vegan composition. But there is butter and eggs in baklava, keep in mind.

Jengyalov hac are served very hot, so it makes sense to wait a few minutes for it to cool down a bit. This is a great option for a hearty tasty snack, especially for quesadilla lovers😄The portion was rather big. I also ordered tomato juice, a great pairing with jengyalov hac!

Once we ordered jengyalov hac for take away, and for some reason it was tastier than in case we had eaten it in the cafe. The filling and and the dough were juicier. Hmmm, well, it's a mystery that we haven't been able to solve yet 🤔 😄

Recommend!

Quick, cheap, filling traditional food!

It's very basic: they do what it says on the box.

The traditional regional meal of flatbread wrapped up with herbs and leafy greens. Not unlike tabbouleh in a durum wrap. A small variety of drinks available (some aren't vegan, but it's obvious which). Two in one sitting is more filling than you expect.

Very tasty, very cheap, very fast and polite service. As there's only one item on the menu communication with staff is very straight forward - you can order by holding up a number fingers. The decor is fun.

Pros: Tasty, Cheap, Very fast service.

Cons: Zero variety, but that's part of the charm.

Quick cheap meal

I really like the idea of the Jingalov Hats. Had two of them for a quick meal. Nothing spectacular but worth a try

Good and cheap

Jingalov Hats and nothing more. What's not to like, a local Armenian dish that happens to be vegan and cheap. Lavash filled with 'everything green'. Couldn't quite figure out all ingredients but I'm sure it had spinach and coriander. Filling and solid meal. For my personal taste I think it was missing something like a dipping sauce or potatoes like Turkish borek, but it was ok and for that price I won't complain (about 2 EUR/USD including drink).

Pros: vegan, quick , cheap

Cons: not everyones taste

Decent food

I was super hungry, so ordered two rolls and underestimated how filling it is😄The taste is alright, the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. Nothing special to me. The staff is nice though and the price very reasonable.

Hidden!

Look for the pic of the facade here on Happy Cow. Really good and cheap!! 1500 dram for a meal for one! They are very nice and speak enough English :)
No terrace, but can get to go. Only cash accepted.

Cheap snack

The restaurant is a bit hidden as the sign is in Armenian and there is not much to indicate there's a restaurant inside. They ONLY serve the traditional flatbreads with herbs so no menu available, but that's cool. Just tell them how many you want. They're quite big and filling, good for lunch or a snack if you get hungry walking around the city.
It seemed quite popular to have tomato juice (normal or spicy) with your food.

Pros: Cheap (€3,50 for 2 meals and a water), Fresh, fast and homemade , Tasty

Cons: Staff did not speak much English , A bit tricky to find

Cheap and tasty

One of my favorite places in Yerevan. It is cheap, traditional, tasty. You can also order and take it home with you if you want.
It is a bit salty and greasy, just how it should be. I enjoy it a lot with ourts (herbal tea).
My Armenian is not great, so one of the ladies that works there always tries to speak English with me.
Would recommend!

Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Traditional Armenian food

Reasonably priced, good portion size

As mentioned in previous posts - 1 dish on the menu - it costs 800 AMD and is a good sized portion. Filling and tasty, would recommend for people who want to try traditional Armenian food. Service is quick.

Delicious traditional Armenian snack

Great for a quick bite, they just have one menu option - flatbread filled with spinach and herbs - which is delicious. It is also very reasonably priced.

Pros: Cozy place, yummy and filling food

Cons: Owners did not speak English

Traditional Armenian Cuisine

Savory and simple traditional Armenian dish. Lavash bread stuffed with over 30 different herbs and greens. Restaurant only offers one dish and very inexpensive.

Pros: Great flavor, Armenian comfort food

it's ok

I went there because of the very good recommendations on Google maps. It's cheap and eatable, but the herbs taste a little bit like soap and bitter (to me).. my boyfriend and me both didn't really like it and were a little disappointed.
Its only one option of one meal available.. basically a flat bread with spinach and herbs.
If you are two and just want a snack or want to try it you can order one meal, cause you get two rolls then. :)

Pros: cheap

Cons: only one option, not that tasty, nothing special

Very Nice Cheap Vegan Food, Easy to Locate

I visited this place and had the Jingalov, which is in fact a stuffed lavash bread with a veggie mix and is all vegan. If you bring it home, you can then use it to make your own salad roll as well, but it should be eaten warm. I will eat there again. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great taste, Cheap, Vegan

Cons: Ony one type
