Spacious restaurant. Menu is mostly Chinese dishes along with a few local dishes. A buffet is also available from 10:30am-2:30pm and includes a small fruit and salad bar. This is under the same management as a large seafood restaurant. Main entrances are on separate streets but have inside connecting doors and a large window on one side allowing the other restaurant to be viewed. Appears to be separate kitchens. Open Mon 10:00am-2:30pm, 5:30pm-9:30pm, Wed 10:00am-2:30pm, Wed-Sun 5:30pm-9:30pm, Thu-Sat 9:30am-2:30pm, Sun 10:00am-2:30pm.

Amazing Chinese vegetarian restaurant - Edit
Menu is huge with many Chinese vegetarian dishes. Our order was delicious and prepared well. We both had smoothies and they tasted amazing. Checked on us to make sure we were happy. Staff were friendly and helpful selecting our order. Restaurant was spotless and very well maintained. Parking can be a little tricky in the area.

Great tasting veg lunch buffet - Edit
We ate lunch at Jia Yi Dao. There's a lunch buffet with about 20 different sauces to go with either brown or white rice. Not so heavy on salt and oil as most chinese veg buffets, nor was there so many mock meats. Lots of greens, veggies, mushrooms and tofu. I liked especially luffa gourds with tofu, kabocha squash with some kind of green beans (not favas, although a bit similar shaped but tasted different), and stir-fried greens with black fungus mushroom and goji berries. With lemon juice, cost per person was 6,50 ringgits.

Best Lunch in Taiping - Edit
Jia Yi Dao has by far the best lunch buffet in town. There are bigger ones, there are cheaper ones, but this has the best selection with the best flavor. The only thing you have to watch out for is what time you go. If you get there after 12:30, there won't be much left or you.
Read moreThe dinner on the other hand isn't all that great. It's a lot more expensive and not all that tasty.
Pros: Lunch, Cheap, Really good
Cons: Dinner, Restrictive Hours
