Bare Minimum Service, Bland Food - Edit
If you are looking for a friendly interaction or knowledgeable direction of the menu from your server, this is not the place for you. My daughter and I were the only customers in the restaurant at 7 PM on a Sunday. We were greeted and told to follow past several empty tables to the absolute back of the restaurant. They have a QR Code menu from which you order and pay through Square. Once seated, we were left to our own devices to order with no one on the floor to answer any questions we might have. I ordered the aloo saag “very hot” and what arrived was not even what am I used to as “very mild”. This may be due to catering to a clientele with less spice tolerance but, if you’re a fan of spicy Indian food, you will be disappointed. Important note on the empty restaurant and for travelers wanting to stop in a for a bite: There is a dine-in minimum of $10 per person. We found this an odd stipulation as no table service occurs besides food delivery. Upon our arrival, there were multiple to-go orders by the front door ready for pick-up. So people do enjoy this place, just not me this time.

Great Curry! - Edit
Jewel of India is one of my favorite places in town when I’m looking for a tasty, inexpensive meal. They offer a variety of vegetarian curries and entrees, all of which sound tasty.
Read moreOn my visit I had their Navratan curry, mild, and it was delicious! It features chickpeas, carrots, peas, potatoes, and cauliflower in a tasty and slightly sweet yellow curry sauce. It comes with a generous amount of seasoned white basmati rice.
They offer lunch and dinner size portions. I personally always order the dinner size, since the lunch portion is a bit too small for a dish that is mainly composed of vegetables and is the only thing I’m having. However, lunch portion can be great for sharing or trying multiple dishes.
My companion ordered the Saag paneer with naan and he thought it was very tasty.
Service can be a bit slow, so try to avoid peak times or order takeout/delivery.
Pros: Tasty, Affordable , Clearly labeled vegetarian options
Cons: slow service
