JenxDen Greenlife Cafe, George Town - Edit

Firstly i commend this eatery for their inclusive employment policy. There was a deaf guy working there. Recruiting this guy seems to have a smart move. He was very enthusiastic and smiley

This place is obviously popular. it was very busy yesterday lunch time. The food i had was enjoyable. a concern is their dish labelling. They have an icon representing dishes with milk. The milk icon was missing from a butter dish. This to me majorly erodes faith in their attention to detail

Pros: inclusive employment policy

Cons: questionable dish labelling

Love the baked pasta & basil spaghetti - Edit

Convenient location. I love the colour of their food. Cheesecake can be a bit too small. But baked pasta/rice & their Basil spaghetti is very yummy. Carbonara Penne was very yummy too.

Pros: Love the western food

Cons: can be hard to find car park

Mostly bento boxes - Edit

We went here for dinner and to be honest, this wasn't a great decision. Upon arriving we found that there were precisely 4 things on the menu (a fried rice, a salad with peanut sauce, some fried tom yum noodles and some udon noodles), the remaining options being bento boxes consisting mainly of rice and deep fried vegetables. Hardly healthy or nutritionally balanced.

Having already walked in we felt obliged to order something so went for the the fried tom yum noodles and the salad. Both tasted nice and we were assured they don't use MSG which is a plus. It was really no more than a snack though so we promptly headed for an Indian restaurant to make up for the deficiencies (unfortunately luck wasn't on our side there either, but that's another story altogether..;)

Anyway, this place is probably good if you are really hungry and in the area. Difficult to see it being much more than that though.

Pros: no MSG, tasted good

Cons: very few selections, a lot of fried food, not nutritionally balanced

Nutritious yet delicious food - Edit

Fresh food and drinks, nice environment when not crowded. We felt energetic after having our dinner there, including Tom Yam Spaghetti, Salad Mushroom Bread, Mock Duck Rice and porridge.
