Very limited vegan options - Edit
No, the sate jamur is not vegan. We went here expecting more options, but when my wife, who is Indonesian, asked about them, she was told they aren't vegan. She said the server seemed knowledgeable about it (that sauce has x, this has z). We ended up with some broccoli with mushrooms (not much flavor), sprouts with mushrooms, and tofu (they have good tofu). We also had some of the fruit juices, and those were good as well.

I won't say I don't recommend this place, but don't come with high expectations.

Mushroom world - Edit
The dishes were good, but nothing special. Everything was coated in sauce or fried, which made it hard to actually taste the mushrooms themselves. It was nice to see all the varieties of mushrooms at the entrance though.

Variety of mushroom - Edit
had satay, gulai, and grilled spicy mushrooms; the satay was definitely the highlight. The grilled spicy mushrooms were incredibly spicy but tasted good. I loved the ambiance, and it was also very spacious

Mushrooms galore - Edit
Lots of tasty food options! Even many of the drinks have mushrooms in them! I want to return for more.

Awsome find on the outskirts of Jogja - Edit
Although the restaurant is not entirely vegetarian, the great majority of dishes appears to be, as they specialize in replacing meat with different kinds of mushrooms.
Read moreI had the "Sate Jamur" which looks like beef Shashlik and has a somewhat meat-like smokey taste, but is made entirely with mushroom. A strong recommendation for those who have gone hungry during barbecue parties in the past.
Also had "Tongseng Jamur" which is essentially like a mushroom Curry. I recommend this strongly to those who like spicy food. Writing "pedas" on the order sheet will give it an extra kick.
Also don't forget to order some rice ("Nasi puti")!
For drinks I had the "Carica Squash", which made for a very pleasant, although extremely sweet alternative to the meal.
If you are in Jogja and willing to take a cab for like 20 minutes you should definitely give this a try.
There does not appear to be an english menu, so having someone who speaks the language with you will be a big help for branching out into other dishes (or making sure they are vegan/vegetarian)
Pros: The best mushrooms I have ever had, Properly spicy food with a good kick to it
Cons: Not clear which dishes are vegan, No english menu
