REMOVED: Jay Mai Jam Jay - Bumrung Buri Rd
Closed
Bumrung Buri Rd (at east of intersection with Bamrung Buri 2 alley), Chiang Mai, Thailand, 50000
A sister branch to its restaurant on Suthep Rd. A variety of ready-cooked mock meat dishes are visible in a display cafe. On the wall are photos of around 30 dishes, in English and Thai. There is free self-serve drinking water. Eggs are sold separately and not in the dishes, otherwise vegan. This veg eatery is on the street and is easy to find - look for signage "Vegetarian Food." There are four picnic style tables. It's on Bumrung Bun Rd, which is the road along the south side of the old city (facing the canal), it's the first storefront east (to the right) of Bumrung Buri 2 Alley. MAY 2016 REPORTED NO LONGER VEG, SERVING MEATSTUFF. REMOVED. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-11:00pm.

unbelievable place - Edit
I read a review saying this was the best place in Chiangmai for vegetarian dishes so we gave it a go. The girls were really friendly, they recommended khao soi which I'm very thankful for (beautiful curry with lots of textures).
Mains and soups are hearty and only 40bath, a decent side of rice is only 10bath.
We went back a second night, more amazing suggestions (I doubt there's anything to dislike on the menu)
Unbelievable mock meat, especially the pork which is apparently a 'stand mushroom'(?)
Can't recommend this place enough. Don't judge a book by its cover!
Pros: mock pork, happy friendly staff, price

yum - Edit
Lots of options, all very tasty. Free water, and free vegetables to add on top of your order! I visited many times during my stay.

super cheap and tasty! - Edit
The staff was very friendly and recommended me the curry soup which they said is just a little spicy. It was tasty but a little too spicy for me :D
My bf had the japanese noodle dish with fake meat which was cold but still good and not spicy at all.
It's directly at the main road so it's not too cosy there but great for a quick, super cheap lunch (80 baht for 2 dishes)!
They had free drinking water and free vegetables (sprouts, cabbage).
Pros: cheap, tasty, friendly staff
Cons: noisy

One of the Best - Edit
Definitely one of the better Thai style veggie places as their selection is particularly good and you can choose from the menu in the evening. Good quality food, cheap price. The servers are friendly and sweet. The unusually late long opening hours are a major bonus because it is so much later than anywhere else.
Pros: Open late, Extensive range of options, Cheap
