Located in the center of the city, it is a 7 minute walk from the bus station. Has 10 buffet options, a selection of take-out foods like sandwiches, muffins, cookies, etc. Freezer with mock meats. At times has a free dvd about Thai animal cruelty. Reported closed to HappyCow, Jan 2016. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-8:00pm.

The Best Jay Restaurant In Town ! - Edit
Opened in 2013, the owner previously cooked in the Jay restaurant at the bus station.
Besides a buffet with ten great Jay options, this Jay restaurant also serves other dishes that other Jay shops in Udon don't serve.
My favorites are the Yong Tau Foo noodle soup or the Noodle And Dumpling soup. I really recommend them, because i never seen these options at other Jay restaurants and they are delicious.
Much customers, especially expats working in Udon , and also many young Thai women and occasionally students.
When you are staying in the center of Udon Thani, this is the place that i recommend.
Pros: good location, many buffet options, good cook
