Jay & Jay

I have been to Jay & Jay´s three times so far and am pleased to see that the bun for the veggie burger is now vegan too and that vegan and vegetarian options are clearly labelled on the menu. The vegan burger tasted really good, and so did the vegan quinoa salad, the ingredients of which seem to vary according to the season - a principle which I welcome. The sweet potato fries were good, with as well as without vegan mayonnaise. Unfortunately, the food isn´t organic. The staff were attentive, friendly and accomodating, e.g. they turned off the TV immediately when asked. In fact, it´s a bit of a shame that there´s a TV at all since the interior design is rather cosy and you do have an amazing view of the city centre.

I recently went to Jay and Jay with a couple of other vegans and vegetarians. It was convenient that they mark each vegetarian and vegan option with a special sign on the menu. That made it very easy to choose, especially since there were not many options for vegans. I ordered the veggie plus burger (the burger is vegan, but for some weired reason they serve it with a none vegan cole slaw on the side). The burger was delicious! The pattie was housemade and huge! Probably twice as big as in other vegan burgers I've had. It was also tasty. So was the ciabatta like bun, the curry sauce and the avocado spread. mmmh.
The friends who ordered other dishes like salads were not as happy with their choice. I tried from one of them(I think the name was Feldacker or something similar) and it tasted kind of boring - mostly like vinegar. I'm sure it was healthy however ;)
The waiter was open to suggestions for improvement however and maybe it'll already be better when you're reading this review
