Jason's Delight

I'm logging a four-star rating to balance this place back to a solid three -- it's the best JD's I've been to in the Raleigh area. I never order anything at JD's except a ticket to the salad bar, and I'm sure the other review has useful and valid critiques if you decide to go another route ... But why WOULD you? You can pack in a day of veggies in one sitting, meaning you can have cereal for breakfast and cereal for dinner, and not feel guilty about it.

The variety! Are YOU planning to prepare a single serving of broccoli along with a dozen other veggies? I realize you know how salad bars work, so enough of that ...

You get unlimited visits to the bar (snag a fresh plate each time out of sanitary decency -- the bar is not your fridge), and you'll start making friends if you end up requesting a third fresh plate ... Some JDs run low on buffet items during lunch, and take a while to refill the reserves, but my experience at this location has been solid.

If you're a vegan on a biz trip, whip out Google Maps and search for a JD's in town -- you can hit the fancy places for dinner. For lunch, you'll have a hard time finding more raw veggies for cheaper than a JD's.

No a fan

Vegan options are hit or miss. I’m not a fan... the staff is kind but isn’t really knowledgeable about vegan options. Salad bad is promising.
