Very yummy! - Edit
I ordered the Val's Vegan Burrito and it was very good. I found the heat of the chipotle sauce just right, and not too spicy. The burrito was very flavorful.
Read moreThere were several items marked vegan and they offer vegan chicken and asada on many of their entrees.
I was hoping that the comment about the rice containing chicken stock had changed but my waitress did confirm this so make sure you aren't ordering any dish that includes rice.
I'll definitely be back again!
Pros: Vegan choices, Nice patio seating with plenty of shade, Large ice tea glass
Cons: I detected a scent of some cleaning product nearby

Great food and lots of vegan options! - Edit
Five stars! So many menu choices! All you need to do is tell them ‘no cheese’ and you can add vegan asada or vegan chicken to most every burrito or taco. This is a great option!

Great food and ambiance! - Edit
I’m not a big on eating burritos - but their vegan burrito was the best!!!! Service was great. The place has a huge outdoor seating area so social distancing was very easy. Stopped on our way to the Pinnacles.

Delicious vegan option - Edit
Really cute outdoor seating and has a clearly marked vegan burrito option. I asked to make it wet and the waiter told me the red sauce has chicken stock, so I got the green sauce.

Yummy - Edit
The vegan burrito is fabulous! I’ve ordered it many times and have always enjoyed it (last time they added chipotle sauce which killed me) so now I have to make sure they keep it out. But chips and salsa are 🔥 and the margaritas are 💣

Needs flavor - Edit
Nice ambience in the restaurant. Staff was very nice and helpful. Had the vegan burrito. The veggies in it were cooked perfectly but they need to be spiced up. Chips and salsa were good.

Pleasant Surprise - Edit
What a surprise to come across the Jardines de San Juan restaurant in the sleepy mission town of San Juan Bautista. The back patios were beautiful, relaxing and a welcome relief from our travels. When ordering, the bilingual staff was very friendly and offered great suggestions for our vegan and wheat free diet restrictions. The menu is marked with the dishes that can easily be converted to vegetarian offerings. The food was very good and well presented. The salsa with the chips was great.
