Only A Slight Motion In The Ocean - Edit
My usual laser-like focus on satiating myself was errant during the early stages of this meal, and it was entirely due to the name of the hotel in which this restaurant is situated: Park Regis by Prince. Now it should go without saying, but the thing that was foremost in my mind was the best way to fit a tortured, food-based pun into one of the eponymous singers most famous tracks…I settled on Raspberry Buffet (thank you, I’ll hold for applause).
Read moreWith that VITAL task complete, I got back to the real business of eating. Unfortunately, the incredible wordplay would be the highlight of my whole experience here. And yes, I know it’s a lofty target to aspire to reach, but the spread, while not bad, was rather middling at best.
The foul was average, the sambar and idli conspired to be about the same, and sautéed mushrooms were so-so. Some highlights did come in the form of the the very moreish wedges and the surprisingly respectable hummus, but I don’t think there was enough here for me to justify a repeat visit.
