Nice unexpected find in a car park in Camden

So we came down to visit family and to have brunch at Samadhi Wholefoods on the Main Street but you can’t sit down……. Crickets chirping……. so maybe you’re meant to eat at home because your embarrassed that you’re vegan….. so…… that was a bummer. Luckily with Happy Cow to the rescue we found Jally’s because I didn’t have a plan B.

So this is a funky little place set behind the Main Street off one of the council car parks, see pros. Great decor, rustic hipster type thing with cable drums for tables, outdoor seating in the front and covered seating front and back. Dog friendly.

Plenty of options (doesn’t do chips) but that’s ok because they have actual options to choose from although when I’m in plan B mode chips are definitely in my prefrontal cortex.

We had sweet potato and corn fritters with roasted pumpkin, smeared hommous, kale and avocado..

We also had the Raw Thai Salad, which wasn’t what I was expecting in that it wasn’t a classic Thai flavour combo of lime, chilli, sugar etc. it was raw cabbage leaves, carrot, coriander, bean sprouts with a satay, sesame paste, sesame oil type dressing (maybe). It was very nice.

We also had coffee which was good too as I drink it black so I can taste it and it was good.

If you have milk in your coffee, even if it is plant based, you don’t get as much of a say on how good coffee is, just saying.

Pros: Lots of options, with good food, Pricing is ok for the servings, Parking good, see note on car park

Cons: Doesn’t do chips :-(, But maybe that’s OK when you have…, …decent options available :-)

Great vibes

Great staff who are very helpful. The coffee here is actually so yum, especially on Milk Lab or as long black. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Must try - Veggie Bowl!
