Lots of options because most of the menu can be made vegan & they are very helpful! Very friendly staff. Food was SO good! Although I wouldn’t recommend the guac. It’s creamy/tangy, just not my preference.

They didn't have any specific vegan dish but they could make a lot of them vegan by not adding cheese... It was okay but sort of good ng to a regular pizzaria and getting a pizza without cheese... The staff was nice and the atmosphere cosy though 🙏

Went there as it seemed to have good reviews. The environmental is great and the owner understands what vegan means. He reccomend Ed I have a veg burrito with beans, guacamole, pick de Gallo and rice and it was really yummy. My boyfriend got a quesadilla and also liked it.

Jalapeño Central in downtown Alajuela is a small and fun Tex-Mex eatery with a menu that has easily adaptable items conforming to vegan standards.
Read moreThe only thing we ordered was nachos that came with sautéed broccoli, carrots, onions and cauliflower, black bean paste, guacamole and lettuce.
Everything was fresh and very tasty.
Servers bring a little cup of very hot pepper sauce with a little flat wooden paddle. A little goes a long was.
The owner is American and we met expats from Texas that travel from a nearby town because they say it’s the best Tex-Mex they have found.
Most of the clientele that day were Americans but I suspect that’s the norm.

Really nice place. The margaritas are divine, but more importantly there's loads on the menu for vegetarians and vegans... And it's extremely tasty. Go.

Local people recommended us this place when the vegan restaurant behind the corner was closed and we really liked it. The service was nice, most of the staff speaks English. All the food is made fresh to order, most of the meals can be veganize. We ate there three times and everything was delicious. The place is full all day long - we've been there before closing and in the afternoon and it was very busy every time. There were people queueing outside waiting for a tables!!
