Excellent

Les Hot Dog vegan sont un délice, le service est rapide, l'ambiance décontracté et coloré. Ce fut un véritable coup de cœur.

Rastafarian Vegan Resto

What can one say? If Bob Marley had a vegan restaurant in Paris, this would be it. Good vibes, peace and love at this place. If you want to elevate your energy vibration come here. Being Brazilian, from the state of Bahia, the tropical flavors of Jah Jah really brings me back home. The food is really good, all natural, healthy and it’s cruelty-free! It’s a reminder that there are many expressions of vegan diets and Rastafarian Ital cooking is one of them. Make sure to drink a juice or smoothie (because they are really good) and if your up for a drink, order a Jamaican red stripe. 🙌🏼

Pros: All natural , All vegan

Cons: Pricier side for portion size

We went here after it was recommended to us by the people at Jay&Joy, it's a hidden gem

We arrived early and within 10 minutes the place was packed. The food is amazing and great value for money. We'll definitely be going back

lovely Jamaican place

The younger brother of "Le tricycle" with restaurant opening hours. The combination of fresh organic ingredients with amazing flavours and spices of Jamaican cuisine is very original and delectable:)

Cons: accueil

simple and super satisfaying

We went to jah jah and were immediately seduced: the atmosphere, the quality of the food, the size of the portions, the prices, the staff everything was great ! We were hungry so we took a starter each ( the colifower bbc wings are sooo good!) then a bowl and our stomach were happy and a bit too full ! But we managed to find some extra space for the chocolate cake ! 😊 the only saf point is that the food could have been warmer.

Pros: original atmosphere, prices, quality of the food

Cons: food a bit too lukewarm

Loved this place

This is a wonderful, casual eclectic restaurant. Not a huge menu, but that means the food is carefully prepared to order. One bowl is enough for a meal, or be creative and order two sides.

The decor is modern Rastafarian. This isn't fine dining in a posh atmosphere, this is a place to hang out with friends.

No alcohol, but fresh juices.

Great!

Chill place to have a unpretentious meal. Nice reggae music in the background. Seating very minimal. The decorations are nice.

We had a hot vegan bowl (13€) which was whole foods for the most part. Interesting flavors. The coconut plaintain gratin was particularly delicious.
Also the hot dog (5€) was good; the cauliflower wings (6€) quite tasty.
The portions were descently sized.

As we were sitting in the back on the armchairs, the waitress forgot about us at first. When she remembered, she was very kind, and offered us a free fresh juice to share..

Pros: Atmosphere, Fair price, Fast service

great food, warm ambiance

I’ve been a few times and it’s been consistently great. Sometimes there’s a wait for a table but it’s worth it! The bol chaud is always delicious but a hot dog with a side dish (the plantains are amazing) is filling as well.

It Got Better (at least on Sundays)

Since I love the Tricycle's Sunday brunch (which they don't do anymore), I decided to try Jah Jah's.
But unfortunately, they do not offer a brunch set.

However, they do provide everything you need (hot dog, side dishes, french toast, cakes, etc.) to actually create your own "brunch". :)

This time, in addition to the always convincing hot dogs, we had the English Breakfast (scrambled tofu + beans + roasted eggplant), which was delicious.

I'm not sure whether the Sunday menu is available during other days of the week (I hope so!); otherwise, I'd recommend you to visit them on a Sunday.
If you do, around 13.00 the place was full, so unless you go early, I'd suggest reserving a table in advance.

--------------------
Let's start by saying that "Le Tricycle" (from the same owners) is one of my favorite places in town.

Perhaps because of that, I was expecting more from Jah Jah.

Since we've had the hot dogs at le Tricycle, we opted to try the bowls. We had a cold and a hot one.
The hot one was spicy and flavourful; however, the cold one was a bit bland for me.
So, if I could sum up our experience, I'd say it was not memorable.

Knowing the food they serve at Le Tricycle, I think Jah Jah has the potential to be much better, so I'll certainly return in the future to try it again. But in the meantime, their bowls haven't won me over yet.

The staff, the service, the atmosphere, the interior, everything was excellent. Contrary to Le Tricycle, there is plenty of space to enjoy your meal!

a perfect bowl

I ordered cold bowl and I think that was the best choice. It does not look so big, but you will be satisfied and filled. I generally eat a lot, but after this lunch, I did not get hungry and skipped dinner.
The waitresses are very friendly and professional.
No wonder it is very popular. It was worth waiting 40 min for our table.

I ado tasted hot bowl, which I did not care for, as there were sausages (don't like fake meat in general), it was not for me.

Fresh and tasty food, a bit expensive

I know and love Le Tricycle so I was quite excited to try Jah Jah. They offer a choice of three bowls (hot, cold and raw) as well as a daily hot-dog and a variety of sides. I had the hot bowl and loved it: couscous vegetables served with quinoa and onion compote with cinnamon. It was very tasty and I had enough to eat for 13€, although I would have like more chickpeas since I spotted maybe 2 in the whole bowl. I also had a smoothie which was good but too expensive (6€ is a lot) and with too much ice in it to my taste (they should have asked, I'm not used to ice in smoothies), and it didn't came with straws although we had said we wanted to share. I also tried a vegan cake for dessert, a bit expensive as well (5€ for a piece of cake) but tasty if not overwhelming.
Overall I really liked Jah Jah, the savory dishes are not too expensive and very good, the rest is a little expensive but all was tasty and fresh.

Pros: Fresh and flavorful food, nice atmosphere inside

Cons: Expensive drinks, no air-conditioning and few fans

New favorite place

I have been a fan of Le Tricycle since its early days, but what sometimes stops me from going there is the extremely small space. Jah Jah is the solution to that! The menu is very similar but the restaurant is WAY more spacious and has a really nice atmosphere, located along a covered passage with lots of plants hanging down over the tables.

We tried the cold bowl, which contained falafel, sweet potato, beets and some salad (pretty good), the roasted plantains (super yummy), cauliflower wings (good) and a hot dog (very good), followed by a slice of chocolate marble cake.

The staff are very friendly and there is basically just a good feeling in the place. Don't miss it when you're in town!

Pros: great food, spacious

Healthy and fresh food

Jah Jah offers fresh and healthy vegan food. I tried their hot and cold bowls that consisted of various vegetables with rice or quinoa. They were good but a little bit too simple in terms of flavor. I would have expected something more crazy or exotic. It's good and well presented but it can be reproduce easily at home. Despite this, the place is pleasant, the staff is very friendly and portions are relatively generous. They also have desserts that look yummy. Their smoothies and juices worth the price. I will come back to try their sandwiches and hot dogs.

Pros: 100% vegan, healthy and fresh food, affordable, friendly staff, nice vibes

Cons: food lacks a bit of flavor, simple dishes
