Meh

Really could be better. Some food is too salty and oily and portions are super small.

Pros: Lots of veg options , Central location , Clean area

Cons: Rude staff , Some options are overpriced

I like this place!!!

I don't really understand why this place has so many negative reviews. I guess, I haven't been to any other Jagannath cafe, so maybe this one doesn't measure up, but I find it a tasty and affordable place to eat in Moscow! I love that they are open late. The desserts are super delicious, especially the vegan carrot cake. The curries are not spicy, but are still tasty. My favorite dishes are the tofu curry, plov with soy meat, grab-n-go tofu sandwich, carrot cake, vegan Napoleon cake, and the fried potatoes with asparagus. The staff are friendly and the place is chill. In the summer there is air conditioning. When I'm in the neighborhood, I go here! :)

Pros: great vegan options, friendly staff, affordable!

Cons: dairy in many dishes

A lesser Jagannath

A part of Jagannath chain, and by far the worst of them. The staff could me more friendly, and the place us super tiny. It's ok for a take away or a super quick bite, but personally I'd recommend walking to Jagganath Taganka instead.

Pros: Small, Unfriendly staff

Cons: Cheap

Not very good location

I like Jagannath’s menu, but this place isn’t very good. Sizes of this cafe very small. 2 or 3 tables for 2 persons and one big table for eating together with other people like in army

Pros: Good food

Cons: Very little sizes, One big table for everybody (I wanna eat alone)

service

Jagannath is famous for its bad service and rude workers, but this one is the worst one.
Have been at this buffet many times, as I have been working close, and saw many unpleasant situations.
The food is fine for the buffet, but the way they communicate makes all the experience disappointing.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Service

Wasn't impressed

After eating at Loving Hut a bunch of times, this place just couldn't measure up. It's decent, but it pales in comparison.

1-the food offerings on the bar had signs for what's vegan, but they didn't match up, so you have to ask, which can be difficult for foreigners.

2-the items I expected to be hot were kept cold and then microwaved. If i want microwaved food, I could do that at home.

3-there are a lot of veg options, but not a lot for vegans.

The food wasn't overly-delicious to justify the price.

Pros: No meat

Cons: Signs are confusing, Using microwaves

It was okay.

We ate here because it was close to where we were staying and inexpensive, but I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way to go here. It's the typical buffet-style place that you find around Russia, with lots of curries and salads and other random bits and pieces.

All of the food is labelled in Russian and colour-coded, depending on whether it's vegetarian or vegan. This could have been really helpful for us as we couldn't read any Russian, but somewhere something must have gone terribly wrong with the way the labels were put out, for where there were 4 dishes in the buffet, there were 10 labels to go with them! This just made the whole idea of colour-coding the dishes useless, as we couldn't figure out which were the correct labels for the dishes in front of us. Luckily one of the staff members there spoke decent English and was able to help us out.

The food itself was nothing special at all. It all looked great, but when we got it, it was cold. All of the curries, all of the pastries and other miscellaneous bits like sausages and samosas, all cold. This was really disappointing because the food did look and smell amazing. I'd rate this place higher if the food was warm. If you do find yourself here, maybe you could ask them to put your stuff in the microwave for you.

Pros: English speaking staff

Cons: Food is cold, Vegan food not signed very well
