Cheap and convenient though not amazing for vegans - Edit
I love the concept of Jacketz and it's nice to find an informal place with a rather different menu to what's common in Amsterdam. The potatoes are fresh and good value at 3-4,50 Euros each. However, there are just two vegan fillings, one of which is a plain garden salad, which cold quite easily be made at home, and the other is, in my opinion, a more filling superfood salad. Vegetarians can also choose a beetroot-mayo salad. The atmosphere and staff are great - so overall I would say it's good, but not my first choice of place to eat.

Best baked potatoes! - Edit
The baked potatoes here are really great, in combination with the green curry topping and possibly some extra hummus and/or nuts. Make sure to mention to leave out the cream/butter in the potato itself, to veganize. I love going here!

Highly recommended - Edit
I would give this place 5 star if possible.
Read moreI got the spicey Thai green jacket potato with hummus on the side. I’m not really one for things really spicey but it wasn’t too bad at all!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a jacket potato so big in my life aswell it was massive!
The staff are really friendly and as everyone in the Netherlands does they speak great english!
Pros: Big portions, Cooked Fresh

All I have to say is... Spicy Green Curry - Edit
I was a little hesitant trying green curry on a potato as my step mum is thai and I really like to keep my Thai food traditional but it was absolutely delicious. The Thai Curry itself was a 9/10 for flavor and the potato was massive (I ordered the full) they also have green seasonal veg as another option and things like hummus and nuts to add on top.

Great concept - Edit
Although this isn't a vegan restaurant, they offer 2 different Vegan jacket potatoe options, which I tried and could at least say great effort on making it both look good and tasty.

Don't try the vegan green curry! - Edit
I tried this place spontaneously because it's close to the flat where I'm staying. One of the vegan options for filling is green thai curry, I chose it because I love thai food, despite being suspicious of how it would taste together with the baked potato. Unfortunately the meal was one of the most bland I've had in a long while! While the salad was fresh, there was not enough of it and the rest of the meal tasted like leftovers. The baked potato itself was very bland. I'm sure the other options must be better, but I would definitely not recomment the green thai curry! The hummus was also not to my taste.
