Great atmosphere, helpful staff

We ordered sake and a few dishes. The staff asked us if we were vegetarian and then made everything without meat or fish.
The mood was great and the prices were reasonable. All of the dishes were really good.

Pros: Good price, Good food, Helpful staff

Delicious vegetarian options

Selection included fried tofu, omelette, stir fried vegetables, fried rice and veggie tempura. Great vibe, friendly hosts. English menu available. Entrance is on the side of the building, located on the basement.

So good

Has a vegetarian menu, and the staff actually care about no animals in your food.

Good English spoken to help tourists feel confident about vegan options.

We tried this izakaya due to previous recommendations here on Happy Cow and we weren't disappointed. The staff understood what being vegan meant and were happy to confirm what was/wasn't possible regarding the food. There was a vegetarian section in the menu and many of those dishes could easily be made vegan & several dishes were already vegan.

We ordered the stir-fried veg and some udon noodles. While we were waiting for our orders the staff then brought over a couple of small dishes of pickled veg and informed us they were vegan.

The food was flavourful and I would definitely eat here again.

Amazing

There's an entire page in the menu of vegetarian dishes, and a footnote saying if you want any of the other dishes made vegetarian then they can accommodate. Fantastic food, engaging atmosphere, we had a great time and would definitely return.

Pros: Menu, Food!, Atmosphere

BEST RESTAURANT IN TOWN

We accidentally came across this place bc my partner is convinced that if you have to go into a basement, the food is going to be GOOD. We were made to feel so welcome! All the staff seemed so genuinely proud of the food (as they should be!), both the server and the chef asked us questions about our dietary requirements and even checked if seaweed was ok. Went back again the next night bc of how fantastic it was!

Pros: Friendly/superstar staff, Food was off the chain delicious, Sake served in a masu box makes you feel fancy

Cons: Literally none. Go there rn

Very accommodating

They understood immediately what I was looking for, despite some language issues. They were helpful and told me, before I even asked, which items had bonito lurking inside. I felt confident that what I was eating was truly vegan. This is also a very fun place with a lively atmosphere but can be tricky to find because it's located in the basement

Pros: Helpful people, Lively atmosphere

Cons: Challenging to find
