My friends and I drive over an hour to come to eat here, it’s just that special. Have visited multiple times and service is always incredible. The atmosphere is to cherish, everyone who works here is extremely kind. Would recommend booking as the place usually gets full. Have tried most options from the menu and can’t say anything bad about it. A gorgeous menu with options I have never seen anywhere else. VEGAN SASHIMI!

Tonight was our first visit and we will surely be back. A friend recommended this place as they knew we were vegan...and their recommendation didn’t disappoint. The only problem is figuring out when we can make it back soon to try more menu options.

My favourite dishes are the gyoza, the house made pickles (INCREDIBLE) and karaage chicken. If you feel like something cleaner, their sushi is mind blowing -fresh and so delish!
Every trip to the gold coast now requires a stop in here - I'm so glad it exists!

Best vegan restaurant on the Gold Coast - Edit
We came here after three weeks in Vietnam and we were very impressed. Great atmosphere and the sushi was simply amazing. The vegan calamari was better than meat based and everything we had here exceeded expectations. If you only have time to go to one vegan restaurant in the Gold Coast make it this one.

This place is unreal, all the traditional Japanese dishes done a plant based. I don’t know how they do, the carpaccio we had could have easily been salmon, the look, smell and taste was like nothing I’ve seen before. Probably the best gyoza I have ever had, and the karaage was delicious. Very cheap for all the dishes, nice small selection of Japanese drinks and a few items to be able to buy to make at home. Every trip near the Gold Coast will now feature a visit here!

This place has it all, I only wish it was closer to Brisbane! The food was delicious, with the ramen the best I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is very relaxing and kids are catered for with high chairs and a small play area. Great selection of drinks and very reasonably priced.

We were really happy when we chanced upon Izakaya Midori. This restaurant serves plant-based Japanese cuisine and the food, especially midori ramen, was really delicious. Besides the regular menu, they also have daily specials. Service was great and attentive.

Just had an amazing lunch at Izakaya Midori at Reedy Creek. It is hard to believe this beautiful Japanese food is totally vegan and so affordable. We were so busy tucking in, that I forgot to take photos as it arrived. This restaurant is a must do!! We will be back again soon for dinner.

One of the best Vegan restaurants on the coast! Tried to order as many items from the menu as our bellies could handle. Poke to start - explosion of flavours, daily special of Abalone, corn croquettes - creamy goodness, Karaage was a highlight - paired with the lime jelly OMG, the Ramen was out of this word and highlight of the meal. Generous servings, well priced, amazing service to top it off. Bit of a mission to get to BUT my advice... pick up some vegan caramels and treats on the way out to munch on the car ride home. Can’t wait to come back 🥰

Izakaya Midori is a beautiful little restaurant serving 100% plant based Japanese food and is run by the sweetest Japanese people. We went for lunch and had the gyozaholic, 2 types of sushi, the karaage don and the katsu don. Everything was fresh, tasty and delicious and service was spot on. We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu.

The food is not too heavy, not too light; the prices are spot on; the flavours are just exquisite. This is handmade food, served up with love and a genuine concern for the diner.
