The food was so delicious here and we ate so much of it. Hits the spot if you’re looking for something greasy, salty, & flavourful.

A bit too much oil but very flavourful - Edit
We ordered the deep fried veg, karaage with spicy Sichuan mala and another with teriyaki mayonnaise and some spicy potato wedge.
Read moreMuch of the menu involved fried food. Not my normal go to so I'm probably not the best judge. For me there was a little too much oil in the dishes. However I couldn't fault the flavours.
Worth a visit

Good portions, convenient location - Edit
Food was good, fast and somewhat tasty.
Read moreI found flavours a little unbalanced and the fried food greasy. But it was a good price and location.
We had spicy potatoes, spring rolls, tempura beans, Chinese tofu, Mapo tofu, rice set (miso and pickles), mushrooms, radish salad (my favourite) .
Lots of items we wanted were not available.
Pros: Good price, Good location , Great for sharing

Vegan in Shibuya - Edit
Place is super busy and popular with tourists and locals alike, so allow a bit of waiting time. The food is well worth it and pretty reasonably priced. Staff spoke perfect english and i ate all the things. Fried mushroom and spicy karrage are standouts

What a find! Have a traditional Izakaya experience in Tokyo. Located in Shibuya in the parco building basement. The food is incredible with good size portions and very well priced.

Solid vegan options in a small and unprepossessing venue.

Superb place. - Edit
Izakaya style all vegan. Outstanding place with lovely staff. それはごちそうでした。
Read moreThe mapo map tofu was spicey but nuanced. The fried broccoli was delicious. Karrage lemon and onion was lovely, as was the Szechuan flavour. Try the beans also, they were so flavorful.
We also had a miso as part of a rice set with some spiced pickles that was delicious. Vegan wines and beer also available and it’s reasonable in size although they also have a wait list outside for busy times. One of the top vegan meals we have had in Japan. X
Pros: All the food was delicious, It’s very reasonably priced like an Izakaya , Beautiful people.

We had a very nice experience at Izakaya Masaka, the food was delicious. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of fried vegetables so I did not try these but everything else we had was very good! My non vegan boyfriend was amazed; almost more than me!

Izakaya option worth checking out - Edit
Seeing as there aren't a ton of vegan izakaya, I'd say this one is worth checking out. We liked the cucumber salad a lot. The gyoza and spicy karaage were just okay (I'd try a different karaage flavor next time as our was kind of dry). Reasonably priced and they'll also give you a 10% discount for their new branch in Kyoto (at the time of writing)
