We are Nuts about Masaka! - Edit
Our neighbour, not far from our store in Shibuya-Ku, serves the best Izakaya in town. Be sure to try their MAC salad and Gyoza. We love it. Dinner time after a nuts day there makes it all worth it.

BETTER IZAKAYA THAN IZAKAYA ITSELF. and Vegan...?!?! - Edit
Okay, I'm gonna keep it short and sweet.... THIS IZAKAYA BLOWS MY MIND. It's better than normal Japanese IZAKAYA. The flavors, the portions, the price. It's seriously an establishment. Chuck some beers on the table, bring the boys and girls, it doesn't disappoint. Right there in Shibuya, easy meetup place and good secret down in Parco to start... or end a day/night.

Yummy food. - Edit
Great “fried chicken,” probably the best I’ve eaten. It’s really juicy and perfectly crispy on the outside. There’s a variety of sauces to choose from. I recommend the onion lemon sauce. The staff is nice, but you might have to wait in line a while for dinner time, it can get crowded.

Good experience - Edit
Tried the gyoza and karaage (so many flavors offered). Potato fries were loaded with spice and kinda liked it. Gyoza were tasty. I would recommend Nepalese gyoza.

Best karaage in town? - Edit
Small place but excellent food, especially the karage. Juicy, tasty with a perfect texture and several choices of taste to accommodate your mood. I had the Sichuan today and it was delicious. Portion is perfect.

Cons: Décoration is a bit frugal, unlike Izakayas

Unique place - Edit
To echo one of the reviews below, it’s one of the few places that has vegan karage. All the food was delicious and decently priced. It’s located in the food court so I ate here myself while my friends ate sushi at another food stall

Fantastic karage - Edit
The karage is the standout dish - although everything we tried was delicious. Staff speak some English and are very friendly. They only have vinegar on the tables so could do with having bottles of soy sauce for dipping the gyozas in.
Read moreWe got there at about 7:15 and after that a huge queue formed. It’s a tiny little place so I’d recommend going before rather than later.

Excellent vegan find in the heart of Shibuya - Edit
A welcome Japanese vegan discovery in meat-heavy Tokyo. Level B1 of PARCO. Small cafe-sized space with share tables. So nice to find Japanese style food that is plant based. Everything is tasty. Even the very realistic Kara-age.

Love the karaaga with Sichuan Hot Sauce - Edit
Vegan Restaurant in the Parco Mall (next to the Disney Store in Shibuya). Restaurant is on floor B1F. Bonus: Nintendo Flagshipstore is in the Mall in the 6th floor. Had a great dinner with karaaga, gyoza, bamboo Shots and rice. All vegan. Very nice.

Vegan izakaya in heart of Shibuya - Edit
Easy to locate in the basement of a shopping centre. Lots of different lunch set options. I chose the kara-age and gyoza set, which comes with tofu soup and rice. You circle your order on the paper at the table and hand to the server. The wait time for food was a little long despite the restaurant not being full. Service was very friendly to foreigners. A really tasty and satisfying meal. Perfect if you have always wanted to try an izakaya but couldn't because you are vegan.

The best vegan chicken i've ever had - Edit
This place was so good we came here twice when we were in Tokyo!
Read moreLocated on an underground level in the PARCO building in Shibuya. It's a bit of a maze down there but it's not too hard to figure out.
Both nights we ordered the vegan karaage and gyoza and the quality was incredible. We were beyond impressed with how much the karaage seemed like real chicken in every way, even down to the stringy-ness that chicken meat has! The various sauces/glazes were also really yummy, we had every one except the spicy one. I think the teriyaki and mayo was my favourite.
It's quite small but we got a table both times.
Highly recommend!!
Pros: Delicious food, Reasonably priced
Cons: A little hard to find the first time

Would rate 10 stars if I could - Edit
This food stood out as one of the best meals I had while in Tokyo, the location is fantastic being located within a shopping center with other vegan options and interesting shops. I cannot explain how delicious the karage is, I recommend getting the spicy sauce or teriyaki sauce. Prices are really good for the area, a certified hidden gem that should be part of any locals or tourists night in Shibuya.

very affordable lunch - Edit
I had the gyoza and karaage lunch set. It came with soup and a small otoshi dish, rice and shredded cabbage. I liked both the gyoza and the karaage, but I liked the gyoza more even though there wasn't much filling. I chose Szechuan sauce.
Read moreEverything was good except the sauce on the table (not the Szechuan sauce), which was too vinegary for me.
The meal didn't have fresh vegetables other than the cabbage, so it's a good place to go if you feel like some junkier food.
Two lunch sets, one for me and one for my dining companion, came to 1900 yen.
Would most definitely go again! It was great just to know everything was vegan.

We enjoyed our meal of gyoza, pickled vegetables, squeezed vegetables, cucumber with ginger, karaage with teriyaki taste soy mayonnaise and omusubi rice ball. Everything was tasty and service was quick. It was busy and we were lucky to get a table as there wasn’t much space.
