Vegan options limited but willing to cook off menu - Edit
Only one vegan option on the menu (almond cheese and crackers), but the waiter was more than happy to explain what could be made vegan and, after talking to the cook, had some recommendations they could make with what they had available. All excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful meal. No vegan label wines.
Wine and tapas a little off the beaten track - Edit
It was lovely to meet the team behind this relatively new venture in Nozawa Onsen. The space is warm and welcoming, there is a good selection of wines available and the vegan tapas options were tasty. Highly recommend the mushroom bruschetta.
This is a wine and tapas place just off the slopes. Service was really great. There are vegan options on the menu, but others can be veganised on request. The staff are only too pleased to help you choose. Vegan feta was great, made from almonds. The edamame dip was fantastic. Hummus and olives are always a great staple. Worth a visit.
