Okay in a pinch/ expensive - Edit
No longer serve vegan Casados as seen in the previous reviews… when we asked about it, they proudly said they’re an Italian restaurant… so I ordered a burrito 😅 off their vegan section on the menu. The pasta was too al dente - but with vegan cheese surprisingly. The burrito and salad were super small - the fries were just okay. All in all we kinda felt ripped off-felt like we overpaid for what we got.

Suppe ohne Geschmack - Edit

Pros: Vegane Gerichte

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
We were pleasantly surprised here at how friendly they were, very willing to make many of their dishes vegan (and gf for me). And it was very flavorful and fresh, not bland. Actually one of the best meals I had in CR! I had a mixed rice and veg with very delicious fries and my hubby had a vegan burrito.

So grateful this is in Puerto Jimenez!! - Edit
We were so grateful to have this place as an option for vegan food in Puerto Jimenez. And it was even better than I imagined!
Read moreI had the gnocchi and asked for the pumpkin sauce (Crema de Calabaza) that was offered as another vegan option. It was sooooo good! My hubby had the Crema Multi Vegana, but didn't realize it was a soup. Even though he was expecting this to be a sauce over pasta, he said it was really good.
It looks like the menu options have changed from the description, so I've shared it in a photo.
We will be back next time we are in the area.
Pros: Vegan Menu, Gluten free menu, Really yummy!!!

Amazing food! - Edit
We had the vegan casados and smoothies at this place and they were absolutely delicious! The portions are quite big and get many different sides with your rice and beans. The smoothies were perfectly cold and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try traditional tico food made vegan. They speak some english and there is free wifi as well.

Cons: Bit more expensive than the soda places around
