Amazing and economic vegan fonda where you can taste nice flavours

The vegan food trucks and stalls in Mexico City are always impressive but the restaurants always disappoint me. Itacatl is the exception. So far I've had the pancakes (amazing) and the portobello sandwich. It was amazing avocado , bean paste, lettuce tomato shredded carrots cucumber... Almond powdered 'cheese' .... I loved the bread.... And the portobello mushroom was sliced thinly and grilled....great flavor...And best of all very affordable... Can't wait to try the rest of the menu

Cute little place with really good food. With the menú del día I got a big jug of melon juice, rice, an amazing stuffed portobello mushroom, salad and a stewed fruit dessert.

This is a nice small place which serves only vegan food. You can select (i) entree, (ii) second plate - as in italy, pasta or rice, (iii) main dish... and then you get drink and dessert.

All of it was very tasty i must say: the bean soup, rice, stuffed portobello, papaya juice, and pear.

And the price was 75 MXN (around 3.50EUR).

You can have an entire meal for less than 10 dollars. The staff is really nice and eager to help/serve. Menu varies most days, but I find there's something delicious every time.

unfortunately for me, I couldn't try anything here as almost all dishes have tofu or some sort of soy ingredient.

We went there for breakfast/brunch as our hotel was a few blocks away. The food was super tasty and service was good. It was only 60 pesos for their set menu of 3 courses and it was high quality. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and tasty with agave nectar, the fruit was fresh, and fairly good coffee. This place is super clean and has nice ambiance. We've tried several other vegan places during our trip and this was definitely one of the best.
