Fast food

Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers two vegan empanadas: the 'nada-beef' with plant-based meat and the 'veggie lover' with rice, bean, and plantain. Cooking is done in shared fryer, but you could call ahead to order baked versions or un-cooked ones to fry at home. The red hot and green medium sauces are vegan as are sides of rice & beans, sweet plantains, and tostones. One of several NY outlets. Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.

So good

I love the nada beef & the veggie lovers. The plantains, fiesta fries, and rice and beans are all vegan too.

It’s okay

I’ve tried both the nada beef and veggie lover and in my opinion they’re just okay. I used to love this place when I was a vegetarian but the vegan options just aren’t great. The rice and beans are so good though as well as the tostones so it’s kind of worth it for that but the empanadas are kinda pricey to not be satisfying.

Pros: Rice and beans and tostones are good

Cons: Desperately needs more/better vegan options

Yummy empanadas

I went here with some meat eating friends, and it’s a great place to go. I tried both vegan empanadas (nada beef and veggie lover) and both were delicious. I liked the nada beef a little better than the veggie lover. I also got the tostones and they were nice and crispy!

Pros: Vegan options, Delicious

Really awesome vegan empanadas

They have two options for vegan. One is beyond beef based, which doesn't have that weird beyond beef flavor because they season it very well. They also have one that has a medley of veggies that's arguably better! Plus the sides of rice and beans and plantains are so good you can have them on their own and you would be satisfied.

Pros: Great vegan options, separate menu, Delicious, hearty empanadas, Sides try to steal the show

Cons: Would love to see even more variety
