Great beach diner!

I was excited to try the food at Isabelle’s on the Beach based on previous reviews plus I love the idea of somewhere off the beaten path giving it that quaintness, something special and it was. Reservations are highly recommended and are a must if you don’t want to be disappointed. It is small , personal and all the food is freshly prepared /made to order. I met the owner Rachel and enjoyed her friendly manner as we chatted about eating delicious, all natural foods. I spotted the veggie burger on the menu and immediately wanted to try it as always love different all natural ( no processed Beyond Meat/Impossible burger ) veggie burgers. She was going to make a cauliflower burger with pickle, lettuce, tomato. siracha, black olive tapenade and hummus ! Sold! Fresh juices are offered so tried a strawberry/orange which was so refreshing!
The burger was piled high, generous portion of fries and she included some roasted chick peas in sesame seeds, and spices. All of it was delicious! This is the kind of place I like to find- great casual vibe, delicious, all natural , generous portioned food and great service. Highly recommended!
Hope to return for dinner next time in Curacao!

Great vegan options !

Isabelle’s is a small, beautiful restaurant in northwest Curacao. She offers some vegan options and her food is fresh and delicious. I would give her five stars but happy cow only offers 5 to vegan/veg restaurants. I don’t think a vegan/veg only restaurant could survive here and I appreciate the time and effort that she provides to accommodate different food needs . My experience here was exceptional as was the food. As a matter of fact, my husband and I came twice in our month’s stay. I highly recommend.

Nice place if you're in the area

Small restaurant owned by a couple. Isabelle herself is the host/ waitress. She seemed a bit stressed that we arrived without a reservation. The garden is nice and the seating quiet.
They have vegan tacos or quesillada (same filling) or a vegan burger. No vegan appetizers or dessert or vegan mayo. They do have plant based milk.
I had the quesillada which was quite good :)
We took a detour to try this place, which wasn't worth it. So nice place if you happen to be there, you won't miss out if you don't go.

Pros: Tasty quesillada, Nice garden seating

Cons: No vegan mayo, appetizers or dessert, Staff seemed stressed

Thank you Sarah for taking your time to write a review. I apologize if I appeared stressed, I was probably hungry. 😂 Reservations are appreciated but not necessary and it’s been a very busy first year as we try our best to accommodate everyone.

Maybe you missed the mezze platter option on the menu, it is catered to satisfy a vegan diet. It is filled with lots of fresh tomato, cukes, carrots, hearts of palm, artichokes, and garlic bread for dipping in fresh hummus and black olive tapenade.
I am a vegetarian since I was a kid and know the struggles of finding fresh and delicious food, especially while traveling.
We hope to improve our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free selections in the future to satisfy all.
