Best meal so far (WHW) - Edit
Best meal so far at the WHW. Two vegan main courses: haggis and tarte tartin. Haggis was hearty and great after hiking, tarte tartin was modern and salad-like. Free water.

Beautiful spot - Edit
Stayed here as part of a hiking trip.
Read moreGood options, really impressive quality food.
I had the vegetable soup with fresh bread (they happily swapped butter for marge) then the beetroot tart for dinner and the vegan breakfast in the morning. It was so nice!
Wonderful hotel and the staff were very accommodating to me as the only vegan in the group.

Best in the WHW... and not just for vegans - Edit
HappyCow doesn't allow more than 4 stars as it's not exclusively veg, but it deserves 6 stars!
Read moreHonestly, I found plenty of vegan options during the West Highland Way, but nothing like this. They were very accomodating and could even advise which wines were vegan without asking. I expected a set menu or a couple of options, as the place was short staffed (basically just the couple that own it was doing everything), but they could veganize pretty much anything on the menu and were very accomodating. The food was delicious and we had a great breakfast too. I apologize for the pictures as they're not great and couldn't help myself and started eating some before taking the pictures...
On top of that, the hospitality was outstanding. They took each and every opportunity to go the extra mile with all the guests and made us feel at home. We would have walked back to Inveroran just to stay with them again if we could!
If you are doing the WHW, make sure you plan a stop there. Book in advance as it's in high demand and it's small.
Pros: Staff always goes the extra mile (even details), Plenty of delicious vegan options, Overall great hotel, rooms and place

Inveroran = best food during WHW - Edit
While walking the West Highland Way I stayed at Inveroran Hotel for a night.
Read moreI got some of the best vegan food during the trip here - see photos, Brusheta (w vegan cheese), veggie haggis (w vegan peppercorn sauce, my partner got a curry (w vegan naan) and we even shared a chocolate tart. Had a full vegan breakfast the next day😄
Portions were massive and so filling.
The owner was super nice, passionate about cooking and so accommodating to the plant based diet.
Within our group there was 2 vegans and 3 non-vegans, we all agreed that Inveroran was a highlight during the WHW.
