Food was as delicious here yesterday as it was 20 years ago.

I used to eat here regularly while a student at Duke. Just came back for a visit and happy to find the place still going strong. Food has always been good. My kids had vegan bowls and I had international platter. I wish we had ordered two of the latter because kids ate all of my felafel, it was so good!!

We had friendly, attentive service at this family-owned restaurant. Hope it will still be here 20 years from now!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Vegan options clearly marked on menu, Outdoor seating

Best falafel...around here anyway

The guy always says "it's THE BEST falafel." And he's not wrong. This is the best falafel I've had in NC, although probably only on par with the MOR falafel in NY.

The hummus leaves a lot to be desired. I generally go with the International sampler...you get some hummus, tabouli, beans and 3 falafel. The falafel platter has 4 pieces falafel, hummus and lebanese salad (which is cucumber, tomato and lettuce in equal parts in olive oil, lemon juice and salt). The falafel sandwich has recently been revamped and now can be eaten without a fork. It is still a hefty portion that would serve as a solid dinner. The dolmas are awesome here and so is the baba ghanouj. Aside from the aforementioned, though, vegan options are pretty limited.

Lastly, the ketchup [censored] is no longer in charge! Apparently, his son now runs the restaurant. His son, while more reasonable and personable is not nearly as entertaining. WE WILL MISS YOU KETCHUP [censored]!

Pros: cheap, fast

Cons: hummus is meh, hard to park

HUGE falafel sandwich!

This is a good spot for a quick falafel sandwich. The falafel is green and very tasty. They also have good hummus and tabbouleh.

Pros: Fast, Tasty

Cons: Not the 'nicest' atmosphere
