Excellent vegan food

I love Indochine, and go here all the time. The variety of dishes is really nice, and I like the juice. I bring friends here who aren't vegan, and they all like what they eat.

Pros: really good vegan food, good juice, nice environment

Best vegan Asian food ever

Super affordable, quick delivery and amazing dishes I’ve never had before (eggplant & tofu) along with delicious classics (chow mein). If you love good portions and great flavor. Go now!

Asian food on Valencia

This place is a solid 4. It’s in a totally different category compared to a place like Shizen. But the food is comforting, the team is accommodating, and it’s a perfect location!

Good variety of tasty vegan Asian dishes (and a few Western ones too)

This Ching Hai–style joint (much like Golden Era or Loving Hut) has the usual fare, although with some slight variations. The won ton soup, with or without noodles, is quite good, with a darker broth than at the other two. Last time I went they offered me extra broth with the soup; sure, why not! The curry is also quite good, as are most of their dishes. I wouldn't recommend the fresh rolls, though. They were a bit dry and the sauce was very watery.

They often have only one person taking care of all the customers, so if you want to get their attention, you might need to get up and go to the counter.

Pros: Many tasty dishes., 100% vegan including desserts., Good range of prices for the budget-conscious.

Cons: Regularly understaffed., Fresh rolls not so fresh.

SHMACK!

They have the best fried rice in the city! The broccoli in it is so crisp and fresh. The spicy cha cha is delicious! The orange sesame bites you can’t go wrong with! Thai tea is sweet and delicious. I have been coming here for a while and highly recommend it!

Pros: Nice location , Nice staff

good Asian Fusion in the Mission

Indochine Vegan does great Asian Fusion. They are open seven days a week yet only serve dinner M-F. They serve lunch & dinner on Sat & Sun. Nice atmosphere for a date night or dining with a family or simply enjoying tasty vegan cuisine. I love that everything here is vegan.

I went here recently enjoying the Vietnamese Fragrant Claypot Rice for &10.95 with tax:
crispy rice with soy protein, organic tofu, shiitake mushroom, black fungus, napa cabbage & vermicelli.

It was packed with flavor & was a good sized portion. I found the service efficient & will definitely return to explore more of the menu.

Excellent Vegan Food - Close to Roxy Theater

This is my "go to" during Frameline Film Festival for a quick vegan meal when I am going to Roxy Theater

They are super friendly - and if you order spicy, they give it spicy (but not inedible). Cozy indoor seating and fresh veggies.

Tasty food

We ordered the crunchy spring rolls and the teriyaki dish. I have to say the salt content is off the chart. However I enjoyed my meal.

Affordable & tasty

Took myself for a dinner here and was feeling pitiful I can order more plates to share with someone 😅
Service was fast, very reserved tho, food was delicious and very filling.
I went for the Vietnamese fragrant clay pot and one sushi roll(that was surprisingly huge and got one fried roll complimentary!). For both I paid about $22 and was going home with food packed away for later.

Pros: Big menu to choose from, Tasty, Price

Great Taste But Slow Service

I overall enjoyed my experience dining here due to the reasonable prices and great taste. I ordered the faux tuna sushi and it was surprisingly flavorful. I am giving it 4 stars versus 5 because the place wasn’t the cleanest and the service was quite slow, where there was only one server when I went. I believe my friend and I waited a good 30-45 minutes for our food.

No stars should be allowed.

If you value your health stay far away from this place. I suppose the first clue surfaced with the condition of the incredibly dirty bathroom that was riddled with graffiti, a filthy floor, and a non functioning hand towel dispenser….My hand drying options were reduced to a toilet seat protector.

Yet because of so many great reviews on this app, and my extreme hunger, I dismissed my better judgement to leave.

So now moving on to the food that literally made me sick for two days with projectile vomiting , a distended abdomen, and a face that was so swollen from the high sodium count, I resembled a patient taking high dose prednisone.

The dining experience started off with a presentation of tap/toilet water that couldn’t be saved with lime wedges. Next up was supposed to be roasted potatoes sans the vegan butter, but what arrived were over salted deep fried chunks of greasy taters. This set the theme of the evening which was O and S (oil and salt) The Mongolian dish did anything but delight as the entree could be likened to a salt lick. The restaurant replaced it with a hamburger, and no surprise, the patty was also deep fried. The burger came with a few fries and a couple of crispy rolls with contents resembling a greasy feline hairball. I can’t speak to the taste of the rolls because I tapped out just by sight. This restaurant uses their deep fryer for just about everything and has sodium levels that can kill kidneys.

All in all it was a disappointing experience with a painful aftermath. Hope this review saves someone from making a huge dining mistake.

And a few words for the restaurant, have some integrity and do better. Quality food isn’t drenched in oil and over salted.

Great value place to eat with a lot of options

We stumbled on this restaurant a while ago and really enjoyed it. It had many pages of options, which can be overwhelming to a vegan used to picking between a couple options! Everyone liked their food and I look forward to being able to visit again.

An awesome find!

I was visiting the Roxie Theatre and looking for vegan options in the area and this was perfect! The menu is pretty extensive and it was hard to narrow down a choice but we opted for some crispy noodles and summer rolls. The taste, texture and really everything about these two dishes was spot on. I haven't had crispy noodles this good this since I left Hong Kong.
Sadly, I went back a few days later but they were closed - i should've checked first!
This place is highly recommended.
It's also the cheapest vegan food I had in all the time I was in the US - great value.

Pros: Nice range of good food, Authentic flavours, Great value

Cons: Nothing

Good food

I enjoyed my experience at Indochine Vegan. We got the potstickers, crispy spring rolls, chow mein, seaweed tofu soup, and sweet and sour soy protein with white rice. The sweet and sour soy protein was my favorite but the rice portion is small so you might want to order two if you want a lot of rice. Food was good, but overall I haven't thought to come back.

Ok

Has many choices, quickly served but I would consider this an average restaurant, we tried a few “chicken” and “beef” meals, good but not crazy to making worth it to come again.

Great food, unfriendly staff

I went alone to Indochine vegan and ordered the fresh spring rolls and sweet and sour soy protein. The food was great and serving sizes were large. I was a bit disappointed that the staff was rather unfriendly, not very talkative or responsive when I attempted to greet them or make small talk. The place is also a bit run down compared to nearby restaurants. The prices are very good and the food is quite affordable, ordering one dish per person and getting rice on the side should be more than enough food for your party.

I probably wouldn’t be eager to go back and would opt into trying some different vegan restaurants, but my experience dining here was overall a pleasant one. I also appreciated the large menu of entirely vegan options that I normally can’t get (like sweet and sour pork or teriyaki chicken).

Pros: Big menu, Affordable prices, Tasty food

Cons: Unfriendly staff , Run down atmosphere

Tons of Options & Good location

I loved that there was a huge menu with plenty of options for me to choose from. I found that the staff was attentive and kind, it also was a convenient location for me. I got the spicy noodle soup and the broth was SO GOOD! It was spicy yet a little sweet and had a strong kick of lemongrass which I loved. However, I found that the toppings were a bit lacking and I would have preferred a lot more of the protein in my dish. I also got the wontons which were just okay in my opinion. I would definitely come back here, check it out!

Indochine Vegan

Indochine Vegan was fine when I went. Just felt like basic Asian food and I've never been inclined to go back. I had a tofu green bean dish, spring rolls (which I did not like), and a soup. See photos attached.

Good food but long waits

This place has good Chinese food. I ordered 3 dishes over the phone and then came to pick up. They told me it would be a 1 hour wait so I came after 1 hour to pick up. I waited outside for another hour and half for my food - so it took 2.5 hours. Food was good but I wouldn’t come back here again because of the wait - I prefer the reliability of Golden Era Vegan ir Cha Ya.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Long waits

Okay

I'm not a huge fan of processed carbs, so I wouldn't say I'd eat here regularly. But they have an eclectic menu that could satisfy different cravings within a group. The crispy chow fun was interesting but not good as leftovers. The once crispy wide rice noodles clumped together and softened within several hours. The Vietnamese clay pot rice was all right, too.
