Amazing coffee, amazing gelato - Edit

On an average day, they'll have six flavours of gelato/sorbet, about three of which are vegan. The flavours change pretty regularly, so you'll get to try new flavours every time you go in! They've had a lot of really unusual (but oddly delicious) flavours before like red pepper and sweet potato, ginger and lychee, peanut butter and jelly and avocado.

They also have delicious pourover coffee and espresso, and offer plant milks as well for milk drinks.

This small, but decent capacity, lo-fi cafe specializes in small things done well. They have a small food menu with 4 choices, 2 of which appeared vegan (toast n' beans, soup always vegan according to menu).
A fully stocked, boutique coffee and teas selection made my bro a very cute and very tasty mocha in a Japanese tea cup, with my Americano being smooth with a bit more sharpness than Kaffee O, but not as sharp and strong as nearby district.
We got 2 soups: curried sweet potato and bread, soup was thick and tasty with decent spice palette, clearly not bought in. Good size too, not huge.
The gelato, huge selection including vegan choices were the standout feature of the cafe. They were SO GOOD. Think of a smoother and tastier version of ice cream, brilliant for the sunny spells but can see myself heading here year round.

Got very busy, especially for gelato even for our late lunch - have seen complaints for that, but you could see they really were trying and made no foul ups. Compared with other indie places, this is low staffed but got gelato out quick.
All in all very, very impressed at the stripped back but artisan, quality and reasonable cost for all our delicious food, coffees and treats. Not loads of space but can accommodate a few in its stylish walls.
Its going on the rotation!

Pros: Gelato and vegan ice creams!, Tasty, artisan , Fair cost

Cons: Busy esp during good weather , Not a load of space, functional seats

Beautiful Vegan Gelato - Edit

It was initially the board outside Indigo advertising 3 flavours of vegan gelato which caught my attention, this is a rare thing in Northern Ireland!

I couldn't resist and was not disappointed. These vegan ice creams are made from coconut milk and are completely dairy free plus they taste fantastic and exactly like a quality homemade ice cream instead of sorbet. I tried all 3 flavours of raspberry, mango and strawberry and enjoyed every morsel. Really luscious ice cream which was absolutely scrumptious and flavoursome. It's also great value for money as three large scoops cost £3 which is much cheaper than similar would cost in one of the many Froyo bars which have popped up in Belfast over the last couple of years.

The Gent who served me was extremely helpful and knowledgeable explaining exactly what the vegan gelato was made from and telling me what Indigo offer. The menu is small but delightful offering ice cream, coffee, pastries and soup during cold weather.

This little café which is larger inside than it looks outside has lovely bright décor and a relaxed ambience. It's ideal for a sunny day as the small outside seated area is a sun trap. Indigo is the true definition of hidden gem. I plan to return soon for coffee and more ice cream. There's free WiFi too which is always a bonus and beautiful artwork on the walls.
