Food was great, service could be better - Edit

I went to Indigo Age with my grandmother, who isn’t vegan, and we both really enjoyed the food. I had the mushroom soup to start and it had amazing flavour! Possibly the best mushroom soup I’ve had. Grandma had some kind of burger and really enjoyed it. She even remarked on the quality of the food again this morning. For my main course, I had the zucchini noodles with marinara sauce. It was amazing!
We did have to wait a while before someone came to take our order though and after our meal we waited as well. Finally we went up to pay and ask if I could have a container for my leftovers. But the staff was very friendly.

Truly Amazing - Edit

This is one of my favourite restaurants so far in Vancouver. A cute quaint little shop with such character. You walk down into the restaurant and it has such a unique design with gorgeous wooden tables. The food is delicious and healthy! We tried the: stuffed tomatoes, samosa, pakora, kale salad, zucchini pasta, coconut tart, cabbage rolls, key lime pie and chia pudding (over two trips). Every bite was scrumptious! Service was prompt and friendly. An excellent healthy food vegan establishment. Would highly recommend!

Pros: healthy food, great service, excellent atmosphere

Cons: little pricey

A total rip off - Edit

I can't believe that they charge $34/person for their High tea when there is about 10 bites, yes bites not pieces, to eat including savory and desserts.
The taste was average. Nothing exceptional.
We had to order another dish as we were still hungry.
They didn't have my first choice tea either!
My friend invited so I had to stay "polite". But she too was hungry.
The room is tiny and not that welcoming.
The waitress didn't pick-up our waste when she brought up the extra dish we ordered. Borderline polite.

Pros: None, None, None

Cons: Rip off, looks like a greasy spoon, poor service

High Tea fit for a Queen! - Edit

I had the best luck of being treated to a vegan high tea at Indigo, and had the most amazing, raw treats! Some amazing feats were made with some fresh and simple ingredients - truly a taste journey!! Since I'm not the biggest fan of tomatoes, some swap ins were made easily enough and I got more mushrooms and the "pizza" bites. Highly recommend for a Sunday treat.

Best in Vancouver - Edit

This is my favourite vegan restaurant in Vancouver. The food is amazing: fresh, organic, high quality and deliciously flavoured. Love the fact that there are raw and cooked options. Particularly love the Ukrainian meal: pierogies, cabbage rolls, borscht, etc. And DO NOT MISS the afternoon tea: 3 tiers of amazing goodies, 2 of them savoury and 1 sweet, plus unlimited tea from a huge list of options -- (often on Groupon!) Excellent location too, right downtown. Get to know Lovena, the owner, who has crafted all the food.

Pros: The best food, Great location, Friendly staff

Cons: Bit pricey (but quality organic ingredients cost), Service can be slow when they are busy

nice place but really to expensive for less food - Edit

It is a nice place and it looks really welcoming. But the meals are really small. If you are really hungry and you don't want to pay to much money this is not the best place. But anyway it was really delicious but to less.

Pros: all vegan

Cons: expensive (I think everything raw) and really smal

Always delicious - Edit

I've come here for years whenever I am in town and have never been disappointed with the food. A particular favourite is the mushroom starter and the Addiction burger. Do try the bulletproof coffee and any of their deserts!
The food is lovingly presented, the staff are very friendly and it's a cozy atmosphere.

one of the best meals I've ever had - Edit

We wish we could stick around longer to sample more of this great menu. The gazpacho was superlative. The dressing on the lime avocados was perfect. The combination of flavors and presentation of the Fresh Addiction burger was stunning. Absolutely the best raw food restaurant we've ever been too. These people know how to combine flavors and come up with winners. Totally recommended.

Pros: vegan raw food that completely transcends the norm

Cons: we don't live close enough

Blend of cultures - Edit

This place is very unique because they feature Ukrainian foods in addition to more common Western dishes.
I wish the portions were bigger. However, you end up having room for dessert so in a way that works out well. I enjoyed pretty much everything I tried there. As for cakes, I recommend tiramisu.

My only issue is their service. They are friendly but a most times that I was there it was also really really slow. One time the server spent a bunch of time chatting with someone else while we just sat there. That was some time ago (last year) so I hope the service has improved since then.

Pretty good - Edit

Had a late lunch here yesterday. Two of us shared the mini burgers and the Ukrainian combo. Everything tasted good. The tiramisu was delicious! Staff was very polite and friendly, but service was a little slow. There was a bit of a gap between the soup and the main. They didn't give us water the whole time we were there. Not sure if it was supposed to be self-service.

Pros: good food, friendly staff

Cons: service a little slow

Wow your friends! - Edit

I am not a raw foodist. Though mindful of the healthfulness of dishes, my main quest is delicious food.

No word of a lie, the chef/owner of Indigo is a food *genius*. Without exception, the reaction whenever I've taken anyone there for a meal has been.... surprise --surprise because the food so far surpasses expectations. That surprise reaction makes it especially fun to bring friends for the first time. Everyone says they will come back again.

When it comes to raw food, I'm not sure I've ever had better. I confess I've never tried a smoothie or other drink there, but each food dish is at least an 8 out of 10.

Every bite of the raw pizza is worth it. The nut cheeses are to die for. The perogies are delightful. The soups are wonderful--I cannot seem to make a mushroom soup at home that good. The desserts are especially fabulous, particularly the coconut cream pie.

My only wish would be that the food menu were larger so I could have more unbeatable food adventures there. I cannot bring you all there personally to experience it, so you'll have to take my word for it and go on your own.

Pros: Delicious. , Creative. , Extremely healthful.

Cons: Not all seating is comfortable.

Amazing food, great atmosphere - Edit

Let me preface this by saying that I am a vegan who does not particularly enjoy raw vegan food, and that I was dining at Indigo Age Cafe with a friend who wasn't very keen on eating vegan food. Despite this we both enjoyed the meal immensely!

We ordered the mini burgers, pirogues and spring rolls to share, all of which were very tasty. We also had the rose kombucha and avocado mayhem smoothie, which were excellent.

The sever was very nice and the restaurant itself is tremendously cute and atmospheric. Overall a fantastic dining experience.

My Happy Place - Edit

I eat raw and this is my favourite cafe to fulfill that that need. The food is always freshly made and delicious, the service is friendly and acccomodating, the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming and the menu is varied. For those who like to eat cooked food there are some pleasant healthy and yummy choices as well.
For your sweet tooth there are raw cheesecakes, raw chia puddings and mouth-watering raw chocolates.
Personally I really enjoy the carrot ginger soup. I am also a huge fan of their kale chips!
