Amazing vegan Indian options

So delicious! Where else can you get vegan tikka masala, butter tofu, saag tofu.. tell me, I wanna know! So hard to find.

So pleased they offer so many vegan options beyond the normal chana, dal, bhindi, aloo we usually get. I missed having a creamy, rich tikka!

The tofu butter masala was my favorite (at least I think I was that one - the darker orange one). Closest to a tikka one might have had before going vegan. Absolutely loved it.

Edit - yep the best one is the tofu butter masala!!! It’s the most like a classic non-veg tikka. Our regular order now is 2x tofu butter masala and 1x saag tofu. So good!!

Called and confirmed everything on the "Indian Vegan Cafe" menu is 100% vegan.

I bet you can also just go to Southern Spice and sit down and order it. I'll have to try someday. I did pickup after placing a GrubHub order - be warned, it seemed to take longer than the non vegan orders, wasn't ready quite when the app said it was.

TLDR - highly recommend, especially if you're craving more creamy (but vegan!) Indian curries!

NOT FULLY VEGAN!!! SCAM!!!

This place is NOT fully vegan!! They only have a few vegan options, and are not even called “Indian Vegan Cafe”, it’s called “Southern Spice”; we had to call just to find out where they are located, and they said they’re located “inside Southern Spice” but when we went inside we discovered it’s actually one and the same business, again which is NOT vegan. And they only allow online orders. Very sketchy and scam-like overall.

Cons: Scam, Not vegan, Liars

Its called a ghost kitchen! Some restuarants lend out a part of their kitchen and staff to food businesses to help with rent. So the business is technically a real food business that only exists online 😊 Think of it like sub leasing out an empty room of a rental house.

Not a scam! They just made a vegan menu and branded it as its own thing😄completely legit and was really delicious.

I always love their food.

I order from them almost every weekend. Their tofu curries and parotta are awesome. Definitely recommended.

Pros: All food is vegan

Cons: May be add some mock meat dish

SCAM

I placed a take out order with the number provided on Grubhub. I gave them my information including my card details over the phone after they assured me that my information was safe with them (They told me I couldn't pay in person) 🤦🏻‍♀️ There were many red flags I purposely decided to ignore because I was hungry.

Long story short, the restaurant was nowhere to be found. I called the Restaurant's phone number many times asking for further information and they would put me on a very long hold, which led nowhere. Each time I called, I spoke with someone different. They all had no clue where exactly the restaurant was located. During my last call to the restaurant, the lady interrupted me mid question by putting me on hold. That's when I knew it was a scam...

I had to call GrubHub Customer Service and request a refund. They weren't able to get in contact with the restaurant.

Update to first review

Update: we gave this place another try and the tofu tikka masala and aloo gobi are very good! So are the samosas and kulcha. I would just stay away from the korma because it’s strange. But everything else was really good!

The veg korma was white like coconut milk. They forgot to add the spices I guess which is really strange. I will say the samosa and the breads we got were good but our main meal which was the korma I couldn’t eat, just tasted like coconut milk. We also got a potato and cauliflower dish which was good.
