India Sweets and Spices is a small restaurant and Indian grocery in a nondescript strip shopping center on Newport Ave., which is becoming Tustin's vibrant Indian dining and shopping neighborhood. The restaurant has six small tables serves a variety of vegetarian-only (not necessarily vegan) dishes from chafing dishes. Also, they have desserts and homemade (I think) Indian snacks - I bought some "chewra": a mix of dried lentils, rice flakes and other yummies. For lunch I tried the chick peas and spinach dishes and they were delicious, filled with exotic flavors and ingredients I could't quite identify. Two-item lunch including rice and chapati bread was $5.99.
