Favorite Restaurant in Chaska - Edit
I live part-time in Chaska and this is my go-to in an area with few vegan options. The place has a very classy old-school vibe, and the owner is always there working his tail off and ready to have a conversation. Vegan items are clearly identified in a sub-menu. The madras veggies are delightful, so good that I’ve never felt the need to order a different main. The garlic naan is something special & can be ordered vegan, as others have stated. I love this place so much that hubby & I have had brainstorm sessions around how to get the word out, as the place is usually empty and that makes us sad. The owner has shared that ingredient prices have risen to ridiculous levels and his profit margins are pretty low, yet the menu prices remain very reasonable especially considering the quality of the basically home-cooked food.

Update - ordered the veg hara masala this time, which consists of veggies in a mint & coconut sauce. It was good, but the madras vegetables are still #1 for me.

Delicious & Large Portions - Edit
One day for lunch, I decided to grab takeout from India Bar and Grill. I ordered the chana masala with veganized naan (no butter) over the phone, and the person who helped me was knowledgeable about veganism. The menu also had clearly labeled vegan options. The chana masala was incredibly flavorful—perfect for a cold day. The naan was a bit salty, but I appreciated having it as an option since naan is usually not an option as a vegan. The portions also were generous, so I was able to stretch it into two meals. A great option for the price! #Veganuary

Spectacular food in a stylish setting - Edit
The exterior restaurant sign says "India Bar & Grill - Fine Dining" which to me is an oxymoron. For sure this place does NOT have a bar and grill atmosphere; it is definitely fine dining. The classy interior complete with elegant lighting and jazz music playing softly overhead on a nice sound system make this a great venue to bring a date or significant other to. I happened to have lunch here. By myself. On a Friday. *Sigh*

The V-11 Punjabi Chana Masala was spectacular and had the perfect spice level - just enough of a kick but not too much. I had it with Garlic Naan (ask for no butter which makes it vegan). Both had incredible taste that made it hard to stop eating and bring some home for later (portions are large).

Flavorful food, nice sized portions and affordable. Vegan and vegetarian options have their own sections on the menu so it is easy to quickly find acceptable dishes.
