Great Inari

I first heard about Inari-San during their one-year anniversary celebration and thought the €1 matcha promotion was a really fun idea. What I didn’t realize at the time was just how popular the place is. The queue was enormous all day long, and I quickly discovered that there’s a very dedicated community around the café, largely thanks to the owner’s social media presence.
One thing I genuinely appreciate is that they exclusively use Oatly oat milk. As a non-vegan business, that’s always nice to see.
The menu offers a great variety of matcha and hojicha creations, and the quality of the tea itself is definitely good. However, because drinks are often prepared at a very fast pace, they sometimes feel a little light on the matcha, especially considering the premium prices. For me, the drinks are on the expensive side, and I would expect a slightly stronger flavor profile for that price point.
I was also a bit disappointed that the pudding specials aren’t vegan due to the use of sweetened condensed milk. In my opinion, this could be communicated more clearly, especially since many people visit specifically for the plant-based options.
The four vegan inari varieties are all freshly prepared and very tasty. My personal favorites were the Sweet Corn and Mushroom Bomb. I also tried the Gochujang Tofu and Mapo Tofu. While these are marketed as the spicier options, I found them very approachable even as someone who is quite sensitive to heat. That was perfect for me, although people looking for something genuinely spicy or particularly authentic may find them rather mild.
Another downside for me is the packaging. Since the stall is located inside a food hall, I understand the practical reasons, but I still find it unfortunate that everything is served in disposable takeaway packaging. From a sustainability perspective, especially for the drinks, this feels outdated.
Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciate the concept, but I do think the place is somewhat overhyped. I would happily return for an occasional inari snack, but when it comes to matcha, there are several cafés in Frankfurt that I personally prefer.

wow

I recently tried the Inari sushi here, and it was absolutely delightful! The tofu pockets were perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. If you enjoy Inari sushi or want to try something unique, I highly recommend it!

Overhyped

Been here twice but Even though Drinks were okay I wished they would use more Matcha and also have traditional Drinks. Bit expensive.

Quite a few options

There are 3 vegan options and I think all of the drinks are vegan as well although I’m not sure about the cinnamon one. I recommend getting the Mushroom Bomb the others where a bit mild for my taste but that might just be me. Also the spot is quite popular so you should expect a 10-15 min waiting time in line.

Pros: Very fast, Unique food
