The choice for vegans is abit limited but there is enough. We had a panini, very tasteful. The cakes were fine, more something between cake and bread as cake (I tasted the carrot and the bananabread).

vegan toasti with pesto, mushrooms, parsley and walnut (5,8€) wrap with cannelinispread, mushrooms, peanut, crunched onion and pickled red onion (8,5€)
Nice vegan cake.
Large relaxed terrace in front, with large parasols to provide shade.
Interior is accessible, although no accessible toilet.

A great place in Middelburg for any veggie/vegan and/or gluten free, sugar free person! Lots of plant based milk to choose from, all kinds of different yummy cakes, amazing organic tea's, great food and a very nice shop-like part which has a 'package free' section that allows you to shop low/no-waste!

I arrived just before closing time and the staff was packing up but they were super nice and I could still have a falafel. Unfortunately it was a dry falafel with little sauce and an uninspired salad, hence the 3 stars. This might have to do with the fact that they were closing. I would most definitely go back and try something different on their menu. Also loved the terrace.

Nice vegan proposal in Zeeland - Edit
It's a nice place (we were of course very lucky with the weather), nice staff and they can make as good as all vegetarian dishes on the menu in a vegan version.

We were also lucky to get some very nice played live music by one of the staff members.

I'm happy to see more vegan options pop up in Middelburg! I had lunch at Imagine with my partner and parents. We had toasties, falafel, empanadas and soup. Everything was flavorful and good quality.
Read moreThe portions were a bit small though, not really enough to fill you up for lunch. We definitely had room for an indulgent dessert, but the cakes seemed a bit too 'healthy' for our taste.
So good food, but the portions could be a bit bigger. Order some soup or an extra side dish if you are hungry. It would be great if the dessert section was expanded with a few richer vegan options like a brownie or cheese cake.
The little shop has bulk bins for goods like beans and grains, and some shelves with items like vegan mayo. Not really anything special that you can't get at other stores.

The vegan tosti with vegan cheese and pesto was so good i orderd two. Very clean, cosy and spacious place with a lot of daylight in the city center. Staff is very friendly. The carrotcake however was not to my liking; heavy and bread like (i guess without sugar and fat).

Vegan dishes are marked as such in the menu. In addition, the staff was very helpful. It was no problem at all to add together parts of different dishes to a vegan lunch for our three year old son.
After the delicious main courses we enjoyed the vegan and sugar free cake (today they had lemon cake, carrot cake, banana bread with blueberries and date cake. All tasted very good and were a welcomed alternative to the sugar-heavy Dutch pastries.
Coffee is served with regular milk, soy or oat milk.
